I'm so sad, Dash sold out

OK- I feel like mother of the year! DS is 4 and has talked about being Dash for Halloween for months now. We got the Disney catalog with Halloween costumes at least 2 months ago and he LOVED the costume. Now, both XXS and XS are sold out!!! His Buzz costume he has worn for the past 2 years is size XXS and it fits, so I know he can't go up to S- which they have in stock. Anyway, I've looked at the ones at Wal-Mart etc., but they just aren't the same and he wants the musles that come in the Disney Store one. And yep, looked on e-bay. Those people are raking in on these costumes. Anyway, I will continue to look on ebay- but I'm going to try to talk him into being Stitch or someone else. I just feel bad..........

Do you have a local Disney Store? If so call and ask if they have the Dash costume- I saw it it at my TDS about 2 weeks ago.

We have a Disney Store about 2 hours away. My mom is going to call today and find out if they have one- I'm at work. I'm not holding my breath though b/c it is the only Disney Store in the state I think.....

Why don't you call TDS to see if they have one and have it shipped? I work in a Disney Store in NJ and just shipped one to a guest in MD, who was looking for the Dash costume. It is by far the most popular costume! Good luck!

If you need to, maybe you could order the small size and have him wear sweats under it. It would keep him warmer, it would look like he had even more muscles, and it would fit him longer too. Just an idea.

Thanks guys. The Disney Store in Birmingham doesn't have it but said they are getting a shipment in today at 3:00 and she is going to call us back and let us know if it is in the shipment.
Shagley- I don't think a small would work at all. The XXS really fits him now and I think the XS will already be too big- but kinda want that so it will fit longer. I think the S will be waaaayyy to long on his legs and arms- but thanks for the idea!

I was in the "World" last week and they have tons of Dash costumes in all different sizes. How about calling WDW merchandise and just ordering from there?

I'm kinda weary of that b/c last year I called and had them send me Jasmine shoes for DD's costume I bought off ebay and they sent me not only the wrong shoes but the wrong size.

CostumeExpress.com has a Mr. Incredible costume for $39.50. I'm not sure how it differs from Dash, but it has the muscles. The smallest size is 4/6 and I don't know how that corresponds to the XS/S at Disney. You might also want to check out Lillian Vernon.

Depending how big your 4 year old son is the small may fit. My son is 4 and weighs 31 pounds and I ordered the xs and thought that would be too big since everything he wears never fits but I was shocked that it did fit and really did not look that big probably because of the muscles. It has elastic cuffs on the sleeves and the bottom pants to help with the fit. I hope you can find one for him.

Good News! The Disney Store in Birmingham got some more in today and they are holding me one- my mom is going to B'ham tomorrow so she will pick it up!!! Yeah!
Thanks rkrjj5- my son weighs 36 pounds so I got them to hold the 4/5 for me- he normally still wears 3T pants, but I want him to be able to wear it for a while. So, moral of the story, if you want Dash, find it NOW! Or, if your child really has their heart set on something you plan to buy, buy it as soon as possible!

I just bought Dash Costume for my 4 year old DS. I bought the 4-5 but exchanged it for the 6 before I left the mall. His Woody costume is a 4-5 and it fits. I was afraid that he might hit a growth spurt before Halloween. It was just a little bit longer. The cuffs have elastic on both the arms and legs. Just wondering are you in Alabama? I bought mine at the Disney Store in Huntsville. They had every size except xxs.

5kwallace- yep, in Alabama- about 20 miles north of Montgomery. Didn't realize Huntsville had a Disney Store. My mom had to be in Birmingham yesterday and picked up the costume for me- the lady was holding it and mom said there were none left in 4/5. She thinks it will be do big for DS- but I'm thinking not after hearing from some of you. Maybe it will fit just right-if not, we'll make it work! Thanks guys!!!
