First the bad part...
My sister in law was killed 5 years ago in a horrible car accident. She was a young (26) mom to 2 little boys. We all miss her more than words could ever describe. She was going to college for office administration and was on her way to school the morning she died. She had 2 weeks left to graduate.
Now the good part...
In her death, some good comes though. There is now a scholarship in her honor in place for moms who need financial help going to school. The following is a snippet from the website about her scholarship...
Kim Tarbell Memorial Award
Value: Varies; Number: One
Awarded to a first year Office Administration student with dependents, who demonstrates financial need. Recipient will embody enthusiasm for life, school, friends, and family as Kim Tarbell did. Recipient will have demonstrated academic achievement and/or a high level of commitment and effort through regular attendance and participation. Tenable on return to Year II.
I just had to share because the honor is quite bittersweet but I'm glad her legacy of being a person to always lend a hand to others will live on.
