I'm so indecisive...Tracfone *UPDATED*

Have you looked at phones on the Tracfone website? It will have you put in your zip code and then it will show the phones that can be used in your area and you can compare all the features. Get at least a double minutes phone, if not triple minutes. They are more expensive than the basics, but the extra minutes you get every time will make it worthwhile. My triple minutes phone was $60.

I also always get the one year service cards online. It's so much nicer to not have to buy airtime every month or two. When you buy airtime online, it is pretty slick. It shows up on your phone automatically (you used to have to enter a bunch of codes).

Your minutes rollover too. Also, if you need more minutes before your year is up, you don't lose days of service, the new dates of services are added on.

I just checked online and I can get two phones with triple minutes: Motorola EX124G for $79.00 (it's a touch pad) and Samsung T404G for $59.00 which I believe is like yours. The one with the touch pad looks nice but I wonder how the "touch" part would be. I've heard that some touch pads don't work great. I'll keep the phone for ages so I really want to get the one I "want" even if it means spending $20 more. Since both models end with a G it means they will use the AT&T towers. I think I'll try to find them in Wal-Mart or Target this week and take a look up close. :goodvibes

I guess I should be able to transfer my T-Mobile phone number to Tracfone, shouldn't I?

I appreciate this thread. I've learned a lot. Thanks everyone!

Yes, you should be able to keep your number. On the website, there are different activation options and one is porting in a number from a different provider. It may not be an instant transfer- you may be without service for a time like I was. Just make sure to create an account that the phone is registered with so you can log in if you need to enter codes. I try to avoid calling Tracfone CS!
