I'm So Excited

We are leaving for WDW 11/25 and I am planning to start packing this week-end so that I don't leave things until the last minute and get everything done by Thanksgiving so that we will be able to enjoy the day knowing we are all set to go. Have any of you started packing so early? It is sooooo much fun to get ready for a Disney vacation.

Wow that IS early to start packing, but if it helps to get the excitement going, then why not. Since I have to pack for four of us, about a week before we go I pack everything, excluding clothing, that I can. This includes medicines, hair and bathroom products, ponchos, laundry detergent (and quarters!), camera and film, etc. I pack our clothing the day before, waiting for the latest weather update to see what all we'll need to have.

We're going at the same time! I won't pack anything until the day before we leave, possibly the day we leave! I just don't have anywhere to put everything, so I don't pack until practically right before we walk out the door. But.......I make a VERY detailed list of what gets packed for everyone in the family, then I just check stuff off of the list as I pack it. BTW, I've already made the list!

We are leaving on the 18th. I was wondering if it is too early to pack. I am so glad to see that others are packing too. Now that I am pregnant, working full time, and chasing an almost 4 year old, packing may take a while.

We are leaving on the 25th too! Our trip is a surprise for our 3 kids. I always pack early and with this trip being a surprise I couldnt figure out how to start packing. I told them since we just moved into a smaller house and we dont have the storage we used to have I needed to store all their summer clothes in suitcases. They all bought it and Im putting shorts and t-shirts in suitcases!! Anything else I need to pack is being hidden under the clothes! I would go nuts if I couldnt start packing now! Your not alone!

We're leaving the 23rd! I use one of those plastic hang on the door shoe holder dohickies filled with all the little things I like to take to WDW. It's still packed from our last February trip so I thought this weekend I'd get it out, hang it on the door, and take inventory so I can make a list of what need replenished. I'll add stuff to it until it's time to leave, then roll it up and put it back in the suitcase.

And we're not leaving until 11/24!! I'm OCD and we're keeping this trip a surprise so I have to sneak things around and hide things from my DS12 and DS15. This is harder as they get older! But seeing how we have cold weather here, their shorts, shirts, etc. were the easy things. My DH and I are not all packed yet but getting there. I feel like Santa, "making a list and checking it twice" (or three or four or five times!!!!)

I would love to start packing except I have one big problem...NO LUGGAGE!!

So guess what we are getting for Christmas?!?!?!

I'll start packing as soon as we pack up Christmas!

thanks so much for the replies. I am so happy to see I am not the only one that starts packing early - hopefully I will have everything done the week before Thanksgiving so that I can relax and just keep counting the minutes until we set down at MCO. we have been going to Disneyworld since it first opened every year and NEVER EVER get tired of it. Next year at the same time we are going to try a 3 day Disney Cruise, have never been on a cruise and would only consider Disney, now that I'll start packing for in June. glad to see some of you will be there at the same time. I'll be sure to have my lime green. maybe we will bump into each other along the way. everyone have a great, happy and safe trip.

We are leaving in 6 days and I am doing laundry now to pack. Actually, I should get off the the boards and get going....considering today is my last day off before we leave... can't really believe it is soooo soon!
