We are trying to plan a Dec 05 trip. I would love to stay at the Poly but it looks like $$ wise, it won't be doable this year. We will be going with a 6 yo and a 2 yo. I figured a monorail resort would be easier with the stroller and such. Now I am looking into moderates but that same feeling of excitement just isn't happening. We have a timeshare we can use and I feel like we might as well just stay there if we have to lug everything on a bus or maybe even drive to the parks anyway. The new dining plan also made me want to stay onsite because it seems to be worth it for us.Is there a moderte resort that you recommend? I have only seen the Beach Club The Poly and the GF. So for me the ultimate Disney trip would be a deluxe stay. Bring on the :charac2: and help me decide.

We had booked POR for our trip, but then upgraded to the Contemporary on the AP rate. POR sounds very nice for a moderate.

We really enjoyed POR in September, we were pleasantly and suprisingly impressed with it. CBR was great too, in fact we're going there next week...what about Wildnerness Lodge? You can take the boat over to MK, and they have really good rates, if you can get them...

Once Again I suggest PO:FQ. Two good sites to look at resorts are WDWIG.COM and the offical disney site. Really, you have to look around to see what your prefarence is. Another good choice is the WL, it's a deluxe, and is not as pricy. Those are the two resorts I can recommend to you. Have fun! :D

Maybe WL? It's not on the monorail, but does have boat access to MK. It's still deluxe, but much less expensive than the Poly. I'd still stay on site even if you can only afford a moderate or a value even. It's really not a big deal taking strollers on the buses.

The Contemporary is the least expensive of the monorail resorts and great for families... if you can do that, money-wise it is worth it.

Our favorite moderate is PO-FQ--- it is more intimate than the other moderates in size. Everything is an easy walk away. There is only one bus stop, and in the mornings and late evenings, it is usually a dedicated stop. Other times of the day, or during the slower times of the year, it shares with PO-R. We don't mind staying in the moderates... it has never lessened our excitement about being in WDW. For years, it was all we could afford, and now even if something is open in a Deluxe, we still prefer to stay at PO-FQ!

Why not try YC, BC or BW - you can walk to Epcot or MGM and if you do MK in the morning, you would go by bus but take the monorail to Epcot and work your way back if you want.

I would recommend POFQ. It is the best moderate in my opinion, and I've stayed at all of them at least once. Also check into WL and AKL, they are deluxe resorts but usually have cheaper rates than the monorail resorts. December 05 is a long way off, there could be some great discounts available by last summer, early fall! :)

I agree about POFQ. It's BEAUTIFUL. It's small and the rooms are the prettiest we've stayed in (including the deluxes). The buses are nto a big eal. You may want to rent a stroller for the 6yo in the parks, but I would just bring an umbrella stroller for the 2yo.
