This is going to be the SILLIEST thing you read today but trying to get a good idea.....

I am not new to FL and this time of year. I used to live down there. I will admit with the post I am seeing on Disney pages and even some old friends who still live there the rain has been a little EXTRA this year. I leave this week for a trip. My husband and I are having a small disagreement of what I should be packing and flying with and such. I know it is humid and I don't live in humid anymore so while that is a concern of mine its not my major one. He says I need a neck fan and I think a frog tog is just fine plus I can make that more compact. My concern is RAIN. I am taking my sneakers as my main shoes but once those baby get wet.....So I was going to pack my crocs in my bag each day. Yes yes I know I know but I am ok with this as we hike and such.

Now let's add the really silly part....my mother in law got me a vera Bradley bag for my birthday trip I am taking. It is smaller than my bookbag. I kind of already told my mother in law I'll have to see if I can use it due to the weather and wanting my crocs. She seemed to be ok with the idea but my husband was like really?

So for those who have been already in the past 4 weeks....how bad has the rain been?

I can see Disney from where I live. We have had hard rain every single day for at least three weeks. Most of our rain has been in the late afternoon and evening, and it has been very slow moving (not the quick hit and move on of our typical summer storms). Mornings have generally been sunny.

If you like to be at the parks for rope drop, you can probably get most of your touring done before the rain hits, if this pattern continues. The forecast looks like we may have a day here and there where the rain chances are lower over the next two weeks, which could also help you out.

Shoes and bags are hard to say. You could put your spare shoes in a locker if you don’t want to carry them. I don’t carry an extra pair with me in the parks, but I do take an extra pair or two with me on the trip so I can rotate through them if they get wet. Crocs are bulky, but they are light to carry. My Vera Bradley bag is not waterproof, so I use it for trips during the dry season. I would use a waterproof bag this time of year. I usually take two or three bags of various sizes with me, so I can switch those out as well, based on what I need to carry. You might want to take a large ziploc bag or two to put your wet sneakers in before putting them in your bag.

Yea my mother in law said well it was dry when I went....we went in Dec when it is generally dryer. Or that one oct we went we were very lucky and only had a little rain the night of the party several years ago. While my hiking bag isn't water proof but it can withstand some rain. Yea I'll take some bags with me for wet.
