My parents have never been big themepark people. My dad is only interested in coasters and thrill rides and would just as well go to a Six-flags. My mom doesn't do well with heat or thrill rides. She visited me last summer and wanted to see AK because she had never been there. She enjoyed it, but then commented that now that she's seen it she doesn't feel any need to go back. My dad once went without the rest of the family on a business conference in Orlando. He paid full price to MGM, and all he wanted to do was ride ToT 4 times and leave! When I first visited WDW at age 12, it was just a stop on a visit to the whole state. We spent one day at MGM and one day at Epcot. We skipped MK because my parents felt it was just like DL which I'd been to many times.
Next spring, my dad has a conference in Georgia. He and my mom had decided a little while ago that afterwards they were going to continue to FL to come visit me. The original plan was for them to stay for 3 days. Well, imagine my surprise this evening, when my mom informs me that dad wants to stay longer. Apparently, he now wants to see all the Disney parks as well as Universal! (all of which I can get them in, which certainly doesn't hurt) I'm so shocked....I never thought I'd see the day that my dad wanted to do a Disney trip!
