Sooo I keep checking the disney website to see what's going to be closed while i am there apr 21-23..

Last night is when they added the carousel and i have this feeling in my gut they are going to add one of the big rides to the list..
I keep nervously checking the site everyday!

It shouldn't be too bad really. You're going during Spring Break season, so unless it's something completely unplanned, you don't have too much to worry about.

I'll be there on the 23rd for my bithday!

Past experience is that they do not add many surprizes during a busy time(SB) unless the really have to. Most major refurbs are well planned and post in advance.

Wow, I'm really surprised they will be closing both the carousel and Mr. Toad's during spring break time? Seems like bad timing to me. Sorry.

Spring Break is over by mid April this year being that Easter is in March. I think it is a semi-slow time for the parks. But hopefully nothing else will close!

Darn, my DD(4) will be very disappointed about the Carousel! We already told her Small World will be closed, so she's ok with that. Thankfully there's still tons of other rides for her to go on!

Oh, I'm devastated. We are going same time. Knew about IASW (which is bad enough to be closed as it is mine and DD's fave). Had no idea about Mr. Toad! I really wanted to ride it b/c I used to love it when I was little at WDW. And the carousel, too? Too many closings for one time in my opinion.

OK, one thing I just noticed after looking it up myself. At least Toad will open for our Friday and Saturday! Thank goodness!

I'm bummed about IASW. They have BTM closed on Wed and Thursday of our trip, but it's supposed to be open by Friday. Here's for hoping!!

I was looking at the calendar also. Not too bad on the closures. We will make sure we ride Mr. Toad before the Monday closure.

The girls had already decided that they liked King Tritons carousel better and will be ok with that closure.

At least it's not Dumbo like our first year or last year with Splash Mountain. When it was 90 degrees in the second week of March. That would have been nice to cool off.

i am hopefully there then too - i know i can't remember if i have done mr toads ride ten years ago - so i am upset that it will closed.

Oh man! I am right there with you! I am going in less than a week and I still am on the edge! I hope, HOPE they don't shut down one of the big rides.

Usually the big rides are well planned in advance and on the refurb list. It sounds like the carousel must have had something major happen because it is down for so long and wasn't posted anywhere. The last few years we have known what was down in advance. IASW was well published since it said the average guest is too "large" now to ride the boats.
