Congrats!!!! I had to wait to tell because i was with my bff when i took the test...us i needed to tell my fiance before any of my other big mouth friends lol... i was told by my mom to wait to tell anyone because of the chance of miscarriage and having to tell the people you already told about it.. but as long you have supportive family and friends there is nothing to worry about!!! good luck!! hope everything goes easy for you

That's wonderful news! With my first pregnancy, I "told" after 5 weeks.

With this pregnancy, I found out one morning while we were at WDW. My parents, in-laws, and aunt were all there with us. So, even though it was super early, we told them the same day we found out! We were at the San Angel Inn at Epcot, having dinner, when I said, "We found the BEST Hidden Mickey today! It's super tiny and super hidden!" My mom started smiling right away - she knew - but it took everyone else about 10 minutes to figure it out. Finally I said, "It's so hidden you won't see it for 9 months!" They figured it out FINALLY!

Sorry to blabber on, but YES I think it's fun (if not a little scary) to tell people sooner rather than later. Have a great 9 months and congrats!

In response to your answer, no, I didn't want to tell anyone early. Hubby knew from just a couple days post-conception, and he's the one that bought the FRER just to shut me up going back and forth, since he knew but couldn't convince me.

My friend guessed b/c I went to the doctor (I NEVER see MDs, EVER, so seeing one, b/c I thought i had to for insurance's sake (I didn't), was a big deal and she guessed). After that I had to tell another friend.

I didn't like telling, didn't like the pressure. Everyone in our familes have LONG pregnancies, too (hubby himself was a 44 week baby!), and the pressure from birth practitioners is hard enough, let alone everyone and their sister asking why it's taking so long when you're only 34 weeks along.

With a future baby, I won't be telling for AGES!

I told the people that I would be ok with telling if I lost the pregnancy pretty early.

People that I wouldn't be comfortable sharing miscarriage info with had to wait until after the first trimester with both kids-that was sort of my guidepost...

That's actually how I've been feeling about it. There isn't anyone that knows that would be a bad thing if I do miscarry. I think the support I would get from everyone outweighs it. But now that the excitement is dwindling a tiny bit, I know I'll be able to wait if I'm blessed with a next time. Look at me already thinking ahead! lol
