My car insurance is due for renewal next week.

My renewal quote from Direct Line was really good. Thought I would just try two others and probably go with DL. Anyway ~ tried More Than and they gave me a quote for half of the cost of DLs

Shopping around can be hard work, but i was quoted £2000, from a supermarket, for a low insurance group!, only had 1 claim in five years and i am over 25 in a reasonable housing area parked off road, we could not understand this quote so we shopped around and got a quote for £330, yes £1700 cheaper.

Then i changed my car and bought a new car with free insurance, and yet again the quote was £1700.

I tried that 'Confused.Com' that's advertised on the TV by the annoying bloke.

You fill you details in once on-line and you get about 20 quotes back from various insurers. At least 15 of the quotes were below my renewal quote from my current insurer
