I'm Packing to go HOME

Ahhhhhh, the weekend. Two days of freezing rain and ice storms. Three days of company from out of town, which meant cooking, laundry and entertaining for an additional 4 adults. Three days of having DS home from college to do his laundry and eat me out of house and home. Finally, am home ALONE!!!!!! Guess what I decided to do? PACK for my trip HOME next week!

I just got out the boxes of my summer clothes and am starting to set aside the stuff I am taking home to the BCVs next week! It sure is nice looking at shorts and tees when the weather man is predicting 5 - 8 inches of SNOW for me up here tonight and tomorrow! I am so READY for this trip back to the BCVS and some warm weather!!!!! I want to shed the sweatshirts and boots and put on some sandals for a week. Hopefully the weather in FL will cooperate for this poor notherner's winter weary body!!!

Besides, I just wanted to post to see my countdown clock!!!

Where did all the ice come from--and when?!! I got back into the Grand Rapids airport at 5 tonight, and my car and all the trees were covered with ice! Fortuneately, the roads are clear. When I left Orlando today, it was an absolutely gorgeous 84 degrees and almost no clouds at all, and then I came home to this! I expected you to take better care of Michigan while I was gone--I took good care of Florida for you, and it was in the 70's and 80's every day, with no rain at all. I expected spring to be here when I got home, and I end up with more winter. Yuck!

Pack slowly-so you can enjoy every second of anticipating being HOME at BCV.

Weather man says up to 12 inches are coming tomorrow-must be coming from you guys, Pinnie and Cruella. Yankees postponed their home opener. I have no trips planned home until next FEB. Ugh!!!

I am tempted to get in a car and drive South!

Pinnie, have a wonderful trip! Don't pack too much, we had a problem at metro this time, my friends luggage was 52 pounds (2 pounds over the new requirement) so they charged her $25.

Doesn't this weather just stink! Why do we live in Michigan????

If you decide to try out the spa at SSR, let me know how it is. We are planning to do it May of 2004 when we do our big family trip there, 20 of us for Mom and Dads Anniversary.

Man, this weather is awful, isn't it Cru? The only thing that kept me going while I was running the snowblower was the thought of ironing my shorts and tees for my upcoming trip HOME next week! Never have I looked forward to ironing!!!!!

Storm tiger: you can get a countdown clock on the technical support board. There is a topic entitled: *Get your countdown clock here* The directions are very well written and easy to follow, even for a tech impaired person like me!

Terry, I am thinking seriously about checking out that spa over Easter. I have another trip planned for June but don't think I will get a chance that weekend to go, since it looks like that weekend is going to be quite full.

That anniversary idea for your parents is awesome. My Dh and I did our 25th at Disneyland with 10 of our closest friends. It was more fun then our wedding!!!!!

I just made PS for dinner at Whispering Canyon for next Saturday night followed by Jellyrolls with some of my local friends who are meeting us there. Easter Sunday has us dining at Boma's for a late breakfast!

The only problem I seem to be having is that my countdown clock is moving exceedingly SLOW. Must be weather related!
