How many Christmas Cards did you receive?

We received 12 cards and 1 letter. I sent about 30 cards but it was about Dec. 15 when I mailed them. I think a lot of people now wait to receive a card before they mail a card. I think I'll be super early next year and see if that increases the # any.

The two or three cards we received were from businesses, I don't think we mailed any cards.

I got 10 + 1 from finance company.

Send out 26 used to be 50 but lost relatives and friends over the years.

Love sendings to my nieces and nephews even though I will not get one in return. Don’t see them enough but on social media I keep up.

I’m guessing 40-50. I usually display them up our stairway to our loft area, but this year our house was painted, and I decided I didn’t want to perhaps mar the paint with tape. So, I have them in a pile, and I have looked at them many times, and read the notes. I like being in touch with friends through Christmas cards. I think one distant relative may have passed we didn’t receive one from her, but maybe it will come late.

We did 40 cards with address labels and stamps. We did the photo cards through Walgreens, and it was around $120 or so. We sent all but maybe 3-4 out (we messed up addresses on a couple, lol). And we got maybe 5 cards back in return (my boss, one of DW's customers, a couple of couples from church and that's about it). Not sure why not many people send Christmas cards anymore.

Cost of stamps and social media . Different generation sends them out is my guess.

Sent 0 and I'm not counting the one from our dog's vet or the one from the funeral home (that's just rude by the way).

We stopped sending Christmas cards to our neighbors maybe 2 years ago but had sent them for years prior to that. We only send in the mail maybe one to two or three now just depends on the year.

But getting Christmas cards? This year I guess we got 2 or 3 plus I got one from the cruise line we sail (99% of the mailed stuff from that cruise line comes in my name). Other Christmas cards were given to us in person when we saw the people for the various Christmas events.

We do have a stock of Christmas cards some bought from Party City years ago when they were doing a big sale one year and we used those rotating for the neighbors and various other relatives we'd give in person. Last year or the year before I bought a few boxes from Hallmark when they were 90% off.

I sent 30. I received 26 Christmas cards. I have one friend who does not sent Christmas cards but sends a NewYears card and I received that so 27 cards in total.

I agree with that but add that I think people have also tried to figure out if people actually want and care about mailed special occasion cards.

My husband's old coworker does reminders usually once a year about updating her address list of people (and she provides a link to a service she uses) who wish to get correspondence from her and her husband (either anniversary, birthday, Christmas, etc). While she has ebbed what she sends over the years (as her life with her child and her whole endeavors have kept her super busy) I think her way is a pretty good way of not only keeping up with people's addresses and how they wish to be addressed but also their own interest level in receiving and/or sending stuff out.

We sent out about 40. When we left early morning on the 23rd we had about 10 or 12 so we will have a few more when we get home in a couple of days. DH and I did a photo card for the first time and it was well received (we got a few phone calls telling us actually). We have a lot of elderly family and out of state family that we don't see very often so they appreciated the updated pictures.

I think we got 8. About half photo cards - my DD/DSIL/grandson, one sister and both of that sister's sons sent family photo cards. Also got cards from 3 other sisters and one friend. We don't send cards.

It was a nice tradition. I think the best part about it was maintaining relationships with friends/family who weren’t in your everyday life. Yearly cards kept you in touch even if you hadn’t seen or spoken to each other for a while. Christmas cards kept you up to speed, watching the children grow or who got divorced or was no longer with us. Social media phased that aspect out.
To me that is what Facebook is for. I see photos and vacation posts.

Yeah I think that played a big part. Things changed. I remember growing up our family had many friends and family no longer in the area and most of the time the only communication was the yearly cards. Growing up back in the 1900s lol!

Sent (or delivered) 50, received 14.

I don’t do photo cards. I make our cards- sometimes with Cricut, sometimes drawing. This year were little paintings. Though this year I did include a wallet size photo to some older relatives who don’t have Facebook, because we had a baby and I thought they may like a picture.

I sent out about 50 and I received 29 - I haven't gotten my mail from the box in a couple days, so there might be a couple more out there.

I sent 14-

i've received 1 back in the mail b/c they must have closed their p.o. box with no forwarding order, 2 send cards for other holidays, 1 person no card from but another person we stopped exchanging with years ago sent one so it was pretty even Steven.

surprisingly (or is it given postal and printing costs?)-not a single business sent us one this year and we usually average 2-3.

the cards from this year will go with my left over Christmas cards so next year I just pull all of the out and know who to send to.
