Friends!

I haven't been to Disney in a LONG time (Let's think Lime Green Mickey Heads if anyone gets that reference).

I'm older, wiser and also have children now. I would like to take them (6&4) July 2022. This is the first big trip I'm planning and I am kind of out of my element because I just don't know where to even start!

For parents with young kids - what are the MUSTS for my boys?

MICKY! I remember you! LGMMH for sure! Welcome back! Haha, my kids were 5, 9 and 12 back in the LGMMH days. Now they’re 19, 23 and 26, and the oldest and her DH recently moved to West Hollywood, so I am planning on getting in ALL the DL visits when we go see them every couple of months from here in Seattle.
I was also out of practice when I came back for a few visits in the last few years, but people here are as helpful as ever. Stick around and see what’s new. Hopefully by then things will be more back to normal. I’m betting your boys will love Star Wars land, and Avengers Campus.

When my two were younger I made sure to make it over to Tom Sawyer island and if in DCA the Redwood Challenge trail at least once if not twice per day. Great place to let them run around and burn off some energy after standing in ride lines!

Oooo the trips to Home Depot for some lime green mickeys

Young kids LOVE Radiator Springs. The Cars ride continues to be a HUGE hit with my friend's twin boys. If they love Star Wars, make sure to go to Batuu and let them fly the Falcon. Oh they'll crash everywhere, but they'll have fun doing it!

I’m great! Had a long dry spell away from DLR, bit of a bumpy road, but went back for a solo in 2015, and we’ve taken a few trips since then. The best was pre-pandemic with the entire family including our DSIL, for my birthday, September 2019. It was magical. In June this summer, when he and DD 26 moved down there, I helped them drive the UHaul, and then DD and I reprised our Mom/daughter trip (from 2008, when she was 13!) for one day as a reward to ourselves. We had so much fun, even masking indoors!
So now you’re ready to indoctrinate another generation of Disneyland fans with your boys, huh? It’s going to be so much fun, can’t wait to hear about it!
