I'm Ordering a big BLT for Thanksgiving 2010 NEW 12/3 started TR! see link

Congrats! Now go take a nap!

Can't wait to hear the news on N-R's school for next year.....

Hurray for scoring all those great ADRs!!! :yay:

I think we should definitely declare a naptime this afternoon -- I am dragging a little myself.

Looking forward to the Atlanta mini-trip report!

YAY for getting your ADRs that is so exciting!! Glad you got everything you wanted!!

Hope you got a nap today!!!!

Yay!! So glad you got everything you wanted a nearly the times you wanted.

Personally, I didn't drag my lazy behind outta bed until 6:20a. :rolleyes1 Still got everything we wanted. Decided to hold off a bit on HDDR until next pay period, if it's not avail then I guess we'll just have to put it on our list for next time.

Congrats on getting everything you want :goodvibes
As for BBB, I would call back and see if you can get the 8 am slot. You never know. There might be a cancellation.

I so wish I took a nap...didn't do much but enough...feeling it now...dinner and then the couch is calling my name

CP I will let you know my final Atlanta plans via a PM later this week...becuase of the BlackHawks and Stanely Cup my brother and SIL may not be coming now...so don't know if any sightseeing will be in order

so yes i am very happy, it was quite easy. Anne-Marie are you serious??? JK. good choice on waiting for HDDR...hope you can get it still. and Jen I agree I will try calling again and see what happens...but that eaxtra 30 minutes may be good after all that room/resort switching stuff...

so my question:

Ok now how I hinted at the hesitation on Tutto Italia at 11:30 am for early lunch...nomrally this doesn't bother me we like early...but since this day is mostly about WS and the Holiday storytellers would we be wasting prime early WS touring by booking lunch right as it opens :confused3

I just went back online and booked at 2:25 lunch as well...

thoughts please don't want to keep the one I don't need for too long...need to discuss w/ matt too.

plus of later lunch a nice mid-day break...and early tour advantage, but negative could be longer wait and more crowded restaurant...

not sure which is more important...

it is the Sat after Turkey day...so either way it will be crowded but which way do we maximize our best options...

thanks

Congrats on the FANTASTIC job getting your ADRs!

Oh...and I felt like I was saying good-bye to good friends last night as well....I'll miss all my LOST friends.:sad1: How nice that Bekah helped you out by making breakfast and lunches! :lovestruc

Not sure about the lunch question....but, I'd probably go with the later lunch. Tour early, eat later. But, with the kids, I'm not sure how a lunch that late will work out. :confused3

I will be looking for the PM -- hope you are able to get some sightseeing in!

As far as the times for holiday storytellers, I wonder if someone has a times guide from last year? That way you would be able to get a better idea of when they start -- if they don't start until later, then you would be able to do your early lunch and still catch them all. What day of the week are you headed to Epcot? If crowds are low that day, then, also, you might not have to worry too much.

Congratulations on the ADRs!! I think the 8:30 BBB is a good thing with all the craziness you'll have going on that morning! :thumbsup2

As far as early or late lunch... I'd go with early just because it would keep with the kids' schedule better... but that's just me. Like CP said, if you can get the schedule, you could plan around that. Maybe keep the extra ADR for now until you can figure that all out...

Can't wait to hear about the school meeting. popcorn::

thanks...this online thing was a bit intimadating at first, but actually less stressful than doing it over the phone.

I know...yes glad someone had their act together yesterday morning

so glad I have lots of brains to ponder this...kids eating late...duh, that variable didn't even cross my mind

we'll see...the Cup now looks like it will start Sat/Mon in Chicago and my brother has season tickets...I'm bummed if they don't go.

great thought...I will start to ask around on the other boards. Sat. it's a green or best day on TGM and touring days...but still it's the Sat after Thanksgiving

early is my inkling too, just not sure on this touring scenerio

Well I'll look around and see what kind of time schedule I might be able to obtain on the storytellers now...anyone know if Steve Soares has any back info on his site? let you know what I come up w/...

So Naomi-Ruth's school meet...

nothing huge ladies (Amy & Heidi) or anyone else interested. She is doing wonderfully...any of my past readers may recal and for my new ones...Naomi-Ruth had a significant speech delay through age 3 and socially was struggling. She started preschool on need in these areas and over the past 6 months she has made leaps and bounds...school, home and beyond...it is really wonderful.

I touched base yesterday and glad things are well. I'm nervous how much she'll retain over the summer w/out that major consistency, but I will have to work hard at maintaining social structure for her beyond just us or family.

my two surprises were that she does not keep the same teacher...bummer. They are hopefull she can start moving into a inclusion style class next yr. sounds like half self contained (which she is in now) and half inclusion. That is good...but that means diff teacher most likely and since she 'll be 4 at the end of the yr...probably be put in the PM slots as that is generally how it works...

eh! my whole schedule is morning driven..chores, errands, stuff like that, school meetings, volunteering, etc and it has been great not to drag Naomi-Ruth w/ everywhere...my afternoons are clean-up, me time, etc not to mention Naomi-Ruth still naps consisitency 2 + hrs...yes tha will start to ease up sooner or later as she hits four...but if she is in the PM schedule...everything will change for her and me...:guilty: plus will have to wean her off a nap.

Oh well...

ok sorry for the OT part here...need to get moving on my day.

In regards to the lunch....I guess it really depends on what is more important to you....touring/storytellers or lunch in Italy. If you stick with the lunch I'd do the early one....the farther it gets from the opening of the restuarant, the greater the chance of having to wait for your ADR....

....but if it was me... I'd eat CS at about 11am so I could be touring when everyone else is having lunch since that Saturday is going to be crazy busy. That's the thing I don't like about the dining plan....the desire to use up those credits so you don't waste them and it and it kills flexiablity.

for me the holiday stuff....

the Itlay dinner came about since Nathan wants to eat pasta and yes we can get many other places...but we also want to do the CLP so thought why not add on the dinner pkg have the "reserved seating" area, not as bad of a line plus burn off two TS credits...

now it's all crazy since we can't book the pkg till Aug.

I like the DDP but yes not the tied to the TS meals...

Ok if I drop the TS from today I do need to put it somewhere and it has to be just the 6 of us and it has to be pasta...so I'm thinking either DHS Mama melerose (msp) or MK Tony's or the Plaza ? but nights or days...

Sat 20 MK no

Sun 21 night MK possible but it is an eve EMH...we are tempting fate here.

Tues 23 MK/DHS no

Fri 26 late MK or DHS no

or keep Tutto but move to Wed Epcot day that is mainly do FW.

what do you think?

jeez...I know we won't drop the CLP unless the kids just can't deal...but I need to squeeze that meal in...I want to see all the story tellers a 1 hr+ TS meal maybe we can't.

UGH!!!! thought I had this stuff good...oh stinkers...if I'm going to switch I need to do it ASAP. HELP!!!

KIM I will still call in Aug just to see if the CLP pkg thing will work but and then if we go yes on that we'll drop the single TS meal and the CM on Thurs too...but need a good back up plan and Matt is leaning toward regardless keeping the CM so no pkg meal and try our luck for the line/wait for CLP on the 27th

So glad to hear that Naomi-Ruth is making such great strides! As a mommy, that's so great to see!

NO...say it isn't so! All that work to get your ADRs just so and now you may need to do some switching up?? Well, if anyone can do it , you CAN! :thumbsup2 Moving the meal you already have to the other Epcot day may be the best plan. UGH!! I'll be watching to see what you decide!

:yay: for the booking process going well!!

I know you will figure out a schedule that works well for you next school year--just will take some reorganizing and planning. :thumbsup2 You'll figure it out and it will be great.

I would eat an early lunch, if it were me and my family. :goodvibes

My advice is to book a couple extra ADRs and give it some time to get the schedules, etc. You know I don't think it's a problem if people book extra ADRs as long as they are cancelled ahead of your trip. :rolleyes1 I think I'm the queen of extra ADRs. I already have two ADRs booked at the same restaurant for a trip that may or may not happen... ;)

Save yourself some stress and consider a plan B, book the ADRs associated with that plan, then let it play out & cancel the extras later once you've decided. :thumbsup2

Also happy to hear Naomi-Ruth is doing so well... Is the school offering her a summer program?

I was thinkng the same thing about summer school. I can't remember does Naomi have an IEP? Liam is going for 6 weeks....the last two are jst for kids with autism. Oh and get this.....he is the ONLY kid going to pre-school 5 days a week....

to answer the summer school thing...unsure but no she is not enrolled at this time. Suggested to try regular play dates or park district programs...

Yes she is on an IEP...and to a good note today her teacher emailed and said she probably will stay AM and have her for a teacher again for 1/2 the time :yay: don't know if it's offical but sounds good...

onto DISNEY....

I booked another Tutto Italia on Wed 11-24 our other full Epcot day as I guess the "plan B" want to cancel one of the other ones on the 27th ASAP just need to hash it out w/ Matt but not sure if we'll have time to figure it out before I leave for Atlanta.

First - I'm glad to hear you came up with a Plan B! Hopefully that will relieve some of the stress for now. :thumbsup2

Second - I'd revisit the summer services idea with school... you talk about how far N-R has come this year, I'd hate to have you guys facing regression. I'd be happy to talk more about it off-line... :goodvibes

I missed out on all the ADR drama! Eeep!

Sounds like you've got your contingency plan for Tutto Italia... you might want to let the decision marinate a bit (excuse the pun!)

Glad to hear Naomi-Ruth is doing well and will likely have her same teacher, at least for half the day. It will make for an easier transition. :thumbsup2

no worries...it's just that one for Epcot that is being a pain.
