I'm on the waitlist. What I bummer.

We have always had luck booking short notice, but not this time. We are on the waitlist at HH for September 16-19.
Hope it comes through!

Anyone have experience with waitlist??? Could use positive thinking.

hi: i'm on a waitlist for the 4th time now. out of the first three, the waitlist came through once. if i was always able to book at my 11 month mark, i wouldn't have this problem. i really think it depends on how "popular" a time is when you're on the waitlist. the fact that it does work at least some of the time is great; it's better than a flat out "NO". let's exchange a little pixie dust and hope for the best.

I just posted that the pixie dust had sprinkled down on the wait list for us. We were on the wait list at HH for July stay. We got all days we wanted except one. I still have hopes it will come through also. The problem at HH is there are not enough rooms available for points usuage. Until more people buy in there will always be this problem.

My frustrating waitlist dilemma:

We really want BWV...we've got 5 days at OKW but are on a waitlist for BWV, and then we already have the last 2 days at BWV.

BUT, we hate the idea of moving. We're already staying at Universal first, then moving to Disney. So, we've been kicking around this idea...should we just go with OKW for all 7 days (if we could get the last two), or hang in there and hope the waitlist comes through?

Funny thing...I'd LIKE to see what staying at OKW is like, and figure that at some point, we'd try it. But this is our first trip as DVC members, and we bought BWV because we love that area, and really, really wanted to stay there.

We just can't seem to decide...at the moment, we're leaving things the way they are.

The wait list has been A - OK for us six times. Only once we didn ot get in and that was for a GV and wasnot surprized. Keep your fingers crossed!!

My personal opinion is that if you hate the idea of moving, it's not worth it to move to BWV for just two days. I would convert the entire stay to OKW and then add those last two days to your BWV wait list... maybe the entire thing will come through!

BWV is my home too and I absolutely love it so I feel for you. If you had 5 days at BWV and were waitlisted on the last two I would probably hang in there and try to get the other two because you have the bulk of your days at BWV. Since most of your days are at OKW, I would just convert the entire reservaton to OKW and then spend the points you save by staying there on your next stay and request a BW view .

Then, there is still a chance that the waitlist will come through for the entire week!

Leslie, we've got Nov 30, and Dec 1 at BWV. We're trying to get Nov 25 through Nov 29. That's what we have at OKW.

What makes me nuts is that the whole week MIGHT become available...in bits and pieces. In the end, it MIGHT all work out. But if it doesn't, we could end up spending every other night somewhere else! In which case we are going to be one cranky family, WDW or not!

It's still 6 months away, so for right now I'll play it by ear, and chalk it all up to experience. I think I'll go now and mark "11 months" on my calendar for our November 2002 trip! LOL
