CRT for lunch or jump on the monorail for 1900 Park Fare?

I enjoy CRT especially for lunch. I'm not a fan of the buffets and especially 1900 Park Fare (imo the worst of the buffets for lunch and dinner). We did eat breakfast there in March and loved it but I love breakfast buffets everywhere. :rotfl:

I don't think PF does lunch. I think breakfast goes until 11:00 or 11:30.

Right, I just read no lunch at 1900 PF.

Hmm.
We are spending our last day at MK. CRT seems a bit pricey and I've read some not so good reviews.

Any suggestions for a nice last lunch in the world?

Kona Cafe and Grand Floridian Cafe are both a monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom and offer a delicious and relatively inexpensive lunch. Those are my two recommendations.

I don't think there is a bad meal to be had at any of the monrail resorts.

I would get the last breakfast ADR at 1900 PF over CRT. Only because of the price. My plan would be to get to MK for rope drop and then go to 1900 PF. Then if time permits go back to MK.

I've never eaten there for lunch, but maybe Crystal Palace?

I'm not a fan of CRT, terrible food.

CRT for lunch is our fave! I would definitely do that!! We thought 1900 PF was okay. If we were to hop on the monorail, we'd do a different resort restaurant.

I'd do the CRT lunch, eyes wide open to the criticism the restaurant receives on food quality and value. Sometimes fun is enough for me.

We had a really bad lunch at CRT. But, how often do you eat in a castle with princesses?

Anyone try the Domo Pie? @CRT

I also like the idea of catching rope drop, then heading over for a later breakfast at 1900.

Hmm Decisions, decisions. :sad2:

I am always surprised the negative reviews about CRT (but I know everyone has different tastes). We had lunch there for the second time in March. I ordered Domo's pie and thought it was pretty tasty (although I admit that I didn't *love* the dessert). We're going to CRT for dinner in October - never had dinner there so looking forward to it. I also LOVE the ambience - it's a beautiful dining room! We've also always had great interaction with the princesses. I think it's such a unique place to dine and I've always enjoyed the food. I think it's a perfect lunch to end your vacation!

Plaza?

The Plaza isn't very large and doesn't have the WOW factor of CRT or PF. But you mentioned cost, and the Plaza would be less expensive.

We just had our first visit to the Plaza last trip - it was fine.

Who said the Plaza?

CRT for lunch or jump on the monorail for 1900 Park Fare?

I have had an awful experience with Park Fare. Won't go there again. I too would get on monorail and eat at O'Hanna's or Kona's. CRT no way. Way too expensive and too many bad reviews. :lovestruc

I can't tell you how many times I have gone back and forth between trying CRT or not. In the end, I decided to book it for lunch. I keep telling myself it's more for the experience than the food. DD is getting her hair done at BBB at 8AM and then our lunch reservations are at 12:05. Then again, I keep asking myself still if I really want to do this...lol. I just don't know. She'll only be 4 so she won't even remember it. Hmmmm...

We will probably avoid going to the Poly that day. We are already going to Ohana on day 1 & then Spirit of Aloha 6 days later.

Was the food bad at 1900? or the service?
