I'm on hold as I write waiting to switch my reservation for June 5 - 12 at POR to an AP rate. I've been a hold quite a while, since I already have a reservation, can I just wait a few days and call back when they are not so busy - or do they "run-out" of rooms at the available rate and I better just sit tight on hold? Here's another question for you experts - I've called the Passholder number - would I be better off calling the CRO number or are they all the same people?

I would hold and try to get the rate tonight - some people are already reporting rates being sold out at certain resorts for certain dates.

I too would keep holding. Better safe than sorry. I hope you are using the 800# :)

I'd wait on hold. We had existing ressies at CS, and had to move to the following week for our may vacation to get the AP rate.
The AP rate wasn't available my week, so we moved dates.
We haven't purchased airfare, so it wasn't a big deal to switch weeks right
now.

Good luck, if it is sold out, you may want to try another resort at the same level.

Finally got a CM after about 40 minutes or so on hold. I wasn't on a 800 number I called the 407 Passholder number. But hopefully, the 40 minutes of long distance won't cost me too much considering what I'm saving. If it weren't for these boards though, I would have probably waited a week or so until they weren't so busy - thus possibly missing out on the AP rate. These boards are so informative.
