Hello :wave2:

DF & I bought our house last Oct' Got keys in Dec and builders started on it in Feb. When the builders first started they said 'if we work flat out there is 4 weeks work'.
Now DF & I knew they wouldnt be working flat out as they had to finish up a couple of other jobs they where working on and as many different people would be required (Electrician, Plumber, Joiner, Plaster etc) there would be days when things couldnt get done due to waiting for Joiner to finish up before Electrician could start.
But it seems like we have been waiting FOREVER. I am getting a tad frustrated at how long it is taking. We have been promised (give or take a couple of days) that they would be done by end on May and as DF & I have first week of june of work to decorate this seemed perfect but as they have been messing us around so long I dont want to get my hopes up and be dissapointed.

I am really just ranting at you lot for a bit as DF is just as upset as I am and we hate talking about it so I thought a fresh set of ears would help me calm down!

Thanks for listening!

Jodie :( Sorry to hear this. fingers crossed for the end of May for you.

We have had a new build house and it over-ran by 3 months so I know how frustrating waiting can be!! It will all be worth it in the end!!! Easy to say I know! :confused3

Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you both that things will get better.

Jodie sorry to hear about this, I don't trust builders. I hope it is all sorted for you asap :cheer2:

I am so sorry for you.

I have been trying to play the "glad game" from Pollyanna.

Wow...a home built in Yorkshire! That sounds like something out of a book to me. I hope you can have a fireplace and a big cushy chair to read by the fireplace while the wind and rain whip against your brand new tight windows.

Can you tell I have only read about Yorkshire in books?

We have fantastic fireplaces!

The living room and both bedrooms still had the origianal cast iron fire places left. My df has been stripping the paint from them and spraying them black. they look fabulous.

Jodie it will so be worth it in the end, promise. But it is a horribly frustrating process!

Fingers crossed it's all sorted for you very soon!
