I'm Now DINGin' -- Please help me work it!

I just registered with DING and just received my first one. Nothing I can use, but you may want to check.

My question is, I missed the Nashville to Orlando DING yesterday, is there any chance it will DING again anytime soon? I have a good rate on Airtran out of Nashville, but I need to book pretty soon as my trip is scheduled for October 1.

Also, do they DING more than once in the day? I noticed the most recent DING expires at 2 p.m., but the one yesterday expired at 8:30 p.m., so I am wondering what my chances are later on today!!

sometimes an offer you have seen will pop up again...I suppose they cycle through them until flights get full?
I have seen 2 Dings most days. I suppose some days it's just one. Don't know if I've seen 3 different ones in a day.

Given your situation, I'd book on air tran. While the DINGS now are 10/1-12/18 - it's entirely possible that the next time they offer your route, it will be 10/15-1/9 or some other time that won't include you right around the corner trip. Also, DINGS are not always the cheapest. I've seen DINGS for BDL to MCO ranging from $42-$87. WIth SWA their specail fares are sometimes as low as $49

I just got dinged and booked my flight for $36 one way out of Nashville!!!


It wasn't exactly my dates, but it did save some money on the hotel room!!

Go figure! That's what I get for offering advise.

Sure enough, the same thing happened with BDL - MCO
Last Sat there was a ding for $41 (for 10/1-12-18)
Today a ding, same route $45 9/18-??

And yet for the last month, there have not been any other dings!

Glad you went with your gut and waited got a great deal!

T'would be nice to predict those DINGs, wouldn't it? I booked St. Louis to Orlando for $49 for December 7 for Isabella and me only 2 days ago. Now our friends want to join us. So today we get a ding that has lots of St. Louis flights, even to Orlando for the same price but this time the date is only until the end of November. So we have to watch like hawks cause she wants to fly WITH us as she hasn't flown with her children before. Arghhhhh. First it's yes for December through the 16th and then today it's only through the end of November.....

It wasn't that I went with my gut, it was more that I had to work!

My mother got the ding while she was at work, and since I teach, I had no access to the internet during school. Mom called me after work on my way home and told me. I was on my way to book the other flight when she called!

So I guess luck more than patience was at fault here.

Whatever it was, I am doing the "Going to Disney" dance
