DD8 and myself are flying down on 9/16 and returning 9/21!

A short trip but its just what I need!

I'm booking through AAA in the morning. We're staying at POP and using ME and the dining plan! WEEEEEEEEEEE


Yes, I am taking DD out of school for three days, but its early in the year and all of our other vacations are taken during school holidays.

DD8 and I are the only ones who like WDW, anymore

OH MY GOSH I am speechless!

UPDATE: Easy come-easy go. I can't go to DisneyWorld!

I have no time left at work

Between my mother-law dying and my sister bedridden for 3 months-I've used all my time off-5 weeks!! Its been such a rough year, I really wanted a nice break.

But, God has other plans!

I'm glad I didn't tell my DD8!

There are much worse things in life than NOT going to WDW-been through most of them, myself. So, I'm just shaking it off and moving on!

What a great idea! My DD 9 would love for a girls only trip. My other DD hates to miss school so going alone with DD9 would be alot of fun and totally different....

DD and I go often on little trips-girls only. We have a blast! DH isn't crazy about parks or touristy things like Amish Country-but we love 'em!

I updated my original post-we can't go to WDW! I have no vacation time left at work!
All is well-we have plenty of stuff to do around here, so its fine!

That's exactly right. I'm scheduled to go Oct 1-8. But with the aftermath of Katrina, it's hard for me to get excited about going someplace to have fun and spend so much money. Especially when so many people have lost everything. I keep thinking about canceling the trip and doing something to help. My DW says that we will lose out on quite a bit, since everything is all paid for. Well for now, we're praying hard and donating whatever we can.

Thats soo awsome that you get to go to WDW. I just love it there, who doesn't? Just like the movie says "When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are. Anything your heart desires will come to you" Have a great time at WDW.

I am sorry about your vacation. We just cancelled our trip planned for Oct...DD is in 6th grade and was afraid to miss school and she made the dance company at her studio and their first performance is when we'd be away...oh well...like others have said...this past week has put things in serious perspective for me. Our time at WDW will come.
