Okay....day 2 at the parks. Today was our Magic Kingdom day, no early breakfast ADRs and the park doesn't open until 9am so we figured we'd eat breakfast at the food court.
We all got up, got ready and donned our matching dwarf shirts....sadly we didn't get a shot of us on Main Street this year....so last years photo will have to suffice LOL
We haven't really changed much....just remove the double stroller, the backpack harness on my youngest daughter and change my sunglasses and my oldest sons hat....voila, it's us this year LOL
After gathering up everything for the day so we wouldn't have to come back to the room after breakfast (it's a long walk to the 90's), we hurried down to the Pop food court. WOW, it's packed....but since this isn't our first rodeo we're pretty quick about getting what we need and finding a seat. Two breakfast platters for the 'men' in the group (I say men loosely...one is my 16 year old son LOL). And then pancake platters for the rest of us....not feeling to adventurous in the food department this morning.
We head out to the bus stop and okay....so there are people who read the time schedules LOL Everyone is going to MK today, it's EMH day.
So we hop in to line and since we slept later we don't enter the gates until almost 11am!!! I think this is by far our latest park entry ever and puts us past our plans for an 11am snack at Main Street Bakery. Oh well, we'll fit that in somewhere.
We head through the baggage check and WHAT!?!?! One of us has a weapon....well depending on who it is....throw them in the slammer, we've not got time for this LOL My dear husband who must have been asleep when he got dressed this morning put his pocket knife in his pocket like he does everyday for work. I felt like a criminal LOL, they wrote down his name and our address....WOW! Then they got 50 cents from us (thanks to that pressed penny container of quarters and pennies) for a locker to lock it up until we left for the day. Needless to say he stored it away in the hotel room for the duration of our trip so he wouldn't make that mistake again LOL We're probably on some sort of watch list now though
So now that we've got that squared away...we head to the back of the park to start with some rides for my younger ones.....the previous day at HS/MGM was sort of geared more towards the teens so the little ones need some excitement now

There was a lot of construction going on back there.
and no, there is not a large Groucho Marx on the barrier wall....but I don't know those people so I gave them a disguise for the Disboards LOL
So...passing all the construction and taking a moment to read all the little signs they have about their plans, Walt Disney's dreams...etc and we saw the one for Be Our Guest, a Beauty and the Beast Restaurant.....AWESOME!
I don't know why I've missed reading this somewhere on the Disboards....but can't wait to try and get an ADR there!
So off to our first ride....with all the construction many of the rides don't have a covered waiting area right now

They were nice enough to put up some beach umbrellas and you aren't outside long before getting in the building....still we were glad to have sunglasses and hats. Here it comes....our ride
After our visit with Heffalumps and Woozles, we disembarked (gotta love that word from the bus announcement LOL), and headed on over to our next thrilling ride (after Pooh the teens are just bursting with excitement LOL).
Yep....we arrive at Dumbo. Probably our longest wait time for any ride so far, but it has that nostalgia about it and everyone HAS to ride it. I am not part of that 'everyone' crowd.....anything that goes in circles, even at the slowest speeds, is not something you'll find me riding. So dad volunteers to stand in the 40+ minute line while I sit by the exit gate....in the sun (not really sure who had the better end of this deal).
By the time this ride ended, we had enough time to take in Philharmagic. My husband swears that they changed this from the original show, but I couldn't tell a difference. On our walk over to watch Philharmagic we noticed It's a Small World was closed....WHAT!?!?! I hope that didn't put a damper on too many other travelers that have never ridden it.
Now we're off to get a good seat for the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade, right outside Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street. We were really fascinated at the tarps they've created to cover the construction of the buildings on Main Street.....they are so neat. Would be cool to have one that looked like a Ferrari to cover up the Honda in your driveway LOL
The parade was short, but colorful.
When we came in we heard a parade earlier in the morning, where they were playing the song from the commercial. Not sure what parade that was but they didn't play that song during this one?
Since we're back on Main Street, once the parade crowd starts to thin out we decide we could use a snack at Main Street Bakery, so that's where we headed. We were kind of sad that you couldn't use snack credits on an icecream sandwich anymore....but we still found something to fill our sweet tooth needs

Cream Cheese danish, cherry danish, chocolate croissants.....so many sweets. They also had the new Halloween Party cupcakes, I thought they were only out for
MNSSHP but not so.
We took a turn through the Rose gardens when we left here, on our way over to TomorrowLand.
It was nice seeing blooming roses when at home our flowers have already went in to their winter slumber....so pretty. Once in TomorrowLand we noticed a lot of rides were not running. Not sure what was going on, but the transit ride was not running and Space Mountain was also down....two rides the kids wanted to go on. We decided to head over toward Frontierland and then come back to TomorrowLand later.
Here was are in the Swiss Family Treehouse
Sadly, none of my children know who the Swiss Family was....time to search e*ay for that movie....although I'm sure the teens will just say how lame it is and the younger ones will just want to live outside in a tree after watching it LOL
We made our way around to the different rides, finally made our way back over to Tomorrowland and had to stop for a drink and pretzel at the Lunching Pad. We'd missed frozen Fanta drinks at MGM/HS the day before and we were still craving one. They did not disappoint...although the sweet pretzel was a bit doughy for our taste.
The kids finally got to ride Space Mountain, but we still didn't make it on to the Transit ride. After making our rounds here, we went for supper at Cosmic Rays. We ordered the rib/chicken combo...yummy. The kids stuck with their regular fare of chicken, bbq sandwiches or burgers.
So now it's getting pretty late....time to find a spot for the parade again. We end up at the same spot we did earlier....behind some very entertaining people. They were cousins I believe, but with a language barrier. It was fun to watch them get tickled at each other, trying to understand what the other was trying to say to them. Here we are, waiting on the parade....don't we look happy LOL
I love that they keep the fall decorations up during the day....they are so pretty. This is what you'll see on the light poles lining Main Street.
We noticed while we were sitting there waiting on the parade to start that if you look really really closely at the tarps covering the top of Casey's Corner, you could see a light blinking....like someone had left a monitor or router or something on? And then the parade
This day was pretty uneventful....up until now that is. We were watching the parade floats go by and then this poor little snail got stuck.
The parade just left him behind....LOL Everything was still making noise and playing music but he just sat there whistling. Finally a CM came out of nowhere and gave him a little push....then she somehow gave the all clear and things started rolling again. After the parade we were just soooo tired so we headed toward the bus stop. We figured we'd see fireworks on MNSSHP night as well as at Epcot so we'd skip the fireworks this evening. What was funny though was that at the bus stop you could see just about every firework....granted they weren't as up close and personal but still it was nice being out of the crowd and knowing we wouldn't have to fight for a space on the bus.
So back to the room, everyone cleaned up and ready for bed. The next day....Animal Kingdom
