....I'm already having a hard time. I'm already sick of bacon and eggs. Maybe I just don't like enough different foods to survive on this diet. What have I had to eat in 2 days.... bacon, eggs, cheese, salad, shrimp. GRRRRRR I feel like I could bite someone's head off! And I went to a pampered chef party last night and actually ate some carbs......:(

Not every diet is right for every person. Just don't let it get you down and decide which diet you are going to try next. Don't let it be an excuse to binge and gain more weight.

I'm not going to let it break my will to get healthy but I was thinking I shouldn't be bored with protein already! The worst thing about having some carbs last night was the thingy at Pampered Chef was actually pretty gross. I shouldn't have eaten it, but since I knew I wasn't eating the other thing she made, I didn't want to be rude.

I was happier on WW, maybe I'll go back to that. Coupled with Curves 3xweek I'll have to see a loss!

I had the same problem- I loved the first week's loss but trying to mix up my diet was hard. I did find that adding lots of raw veggies helped a bunch. I had a salad with all the allowable veggies two meals a day- that might help you. Ultimately, I've decided to stick with Slimfast only because it solves two meals a day for me and with 3 little ones running around and having to prepare 10+ plates a day for my family I like being able to just sit and eat what I'm fixing them and not worry about the carbs or proteins. Find something that you enjoy (as much as anyone can enjoy restricting their eating! :)) and you'll do fine!

I would think that means you're having some success. Any time you cut out a food item and then have a taste, and it's yucky, you've won! (Kind of like lighting up after you've not smoked for some time.) Maybe you could try some other protien and fat sources to mix things up a bit. I would hate to see you chuck it all, after it seems you've beaten the hardest part. But, I do agree with Alex. If it doesn't work for you, choose a different path. You'll get there as long as you keep moving!:)

Keep the Faith!

Try adding a little variety! Have a big chicken caesar salad for lunch, or a green salad with lots of veggies and feta cheese! Remember, on Atkins, during the first two weeks, you should try to get as close to the 20 carbs per day as possible, without going over. Make sure you're getting all the veggies that you need - that will keep you from getting bored with all the meat & eggs. :)

How about Ham and Green Beans?
Cabbage and Ground Beef?
Chef salad
Steak with my Smashed Cauliflower
I eat it like I would a baked potatoe)
Ham rolled with cream cheese and dill pickle
Taco Salad (minus the chips)
Chicken or Phila Cheesesteak (minus the bun)
Sausage with peppers and onions
Prime Rib with Horseradish
Lobster with Butter
Shrimp with horseradish mayo

The list goes on.......

:D

What do you like to eat?

There's absolutely NO reason to be bored with the foods you can eat on low-carb diet...

You tell us what you're missing, I bet we can help.

I can so relate! I only stuck with it for one day and I knew I couldn't do it. I was ready to just throw in the towel till I decided to try WW again. I hope you find something that's perfect for you.

Everyone has already given you great advice, just wanted to say that I hope you find the diet plan that is right for you!! :) Hugs!

You know what? You don't have to eat bacon and eggs for breakfast. You can eat anything you want.

Cheeseburger? No? Orange Roughy with lots of butter? Not that either? How about pepperoni slices with shreaded mozzarella cheese on top? Not in the mood for that either? Shrimp scampi? Lobster tails in butter? Filet mignon? Chicken breast with monterey jack cheese melted on it? Chicken tenders? Steak fingers? Veal parmesan? Ham slices with cream cheese? Fried pork chops? Slim Jims? Sugar free beef jerky?

How about an Atkins club? Slice of roast beef spread with mayo, slice of turkey spread with mayo, slice of ham spread with mayo, add a slice of bacon and roll it up, yummy :)

You can eat anything you want as long as it includes no refined carbohydrates, you know.

Lots of choices available. I think WebmasterAlex likes to deep fry a bunch of chicken wings and eat them with blue cheese dressing, you could even have that for breakfast.

You can do this sweetie. I know you can. Now forget about that pampered chef party, that happened in the past. We don't worry about the past, here on WISH, we can't change it so we forget about it. Just worry about "right now".

Atkins may not be the eating plan for you but I think you should not give up until you have given it a fair chance. Try it for one week before you give up, give yourself a chance to get into ketosis and see how you feel then. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

There are some great Atkins recipes stuck at the top of this board and a lot of them are legal for induction.

So, what do you think? This is your decision and changing eating plans is a personal decision not a sign of failure. No sad smilies required :)

How about cheesecake for breakfast?

Perfect legal, oh-so-good, and "how could this be a diet?" wonderful to be able to do!

Look for Beachgirl's Cheesecake on the low carb recipes thread (on one of the last pages). It's even legal for induction! :)
