Hey, it's better to have an idea what's available than to not

So I did not get the jobI'm pretty sure I was overqualified, since they were taking apps from high school grads, and I have a degree. At least that's what I am going to tell myself to ease the pain of rejection
Actually it may be a blessing in disguise! I went to see our cruise lady to book my sister's graduation trip (no we are not cruising with Disney).
As I was leaving she said that if I was ever looking for a job I should email the owner of the company, because this travel planning is clearly "in my blood". Her words, not mine. I said that as a matter of fact I am looking! I drafted my email tonight, and tomorrow I will attach my resume and send it. And to think, she thinks this without even knowing about my Disney obsession! So if I get this job, or any job with them, it will be way more awesome! I won't get to be as close to the magic as I would have in Tampa, but I have ALWAYS wanted to be a travel agent. When I was 10 I would play travel agent, and make my friends "book" Disney land/sea combos on the Big Red Boat (before DCL was introduced), so this is truly my calling.![]()
At least now I don't have to worry about getting time off for the weddings I need to go to or for my sister's cruise! Silver lining!

I have always wanted to be a TA too. I think it could be really neat. but I have no clue how you would go about getting started in that industry.
what is your degree in?
Your Disney dinners are adorable! Love the idea and always wanted to do it. I guess I should start now! Thanks for all the great ideas.![]()
The Incredibles is a great movie!I think you will really enjoy it.
The Incredibles really is a great movie! Its like a tradition for us, we watch it every single year! You will really love it!
That is sooo exciting about looking into being a travel agent! I half-laughed when I read it because guess what??? I've been looking into that as well.I know that someday I will move to Florida, whether it be within a few years or years & years & years way when I retire, but I have every intention of being a travel agent once I get there! What is that they say? Great minds think alike!
I love seeing all of the dinners that you plan. I read that thread about the Disney themed parties & dinners! There are lots of great ideas on there! Are you getting excited for your trip??? I've been reading everyone's PTR for December & I'm getting super excited for everyone's trips & I'm not even going! So I can only imagine how excited you must be!![]()
