Saw your post on another TR and decided to come on over! We went almost the exact same dates a couple years ago and had such a great time. The crowds were pretty low, though they were definitely starting to pick up our last night there.

I love all your theme nights! They look like so much fun.

Well, I got lucky and sure enough, the 19th is the last day for MVMCP. Does anyone know why they stop it so early in the month? Is it because the parks are just too crowded after that to close them early for the party?

When we went, ours was the 18th I believe (I know it was the second to last one for that year). I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head. I can't imagine them closing the park early for a party during such a busy time.

Ok, I will apologize in advance for the lameness of this night. I ended up spending the entire day running around and could not find the things I was looking for to make this theme night perfect, so it turned out pretty lame.

Here's Jack wearing his ant antennas (except he ket callign them google-heads from a show he watches that is appropriately titled "Jack's Big Music Show")

I used green wrapping paper ont eh table and windo to simulate grass, and as you can see we had some ants on a log... and tuna salad... I know, it doesn't really go, but we were originally going for a picnic feel so we had sandwiches and chips (except Jack who had leftover chicken nuggets and french fries)

I drew some ants here and there for decoration

We used plates that were the color of mums, and drew stems. And we had broccoli and carrots as well... I guess I was thinking broccoli= little trees?

For dessert we had mint grasshopper ice cream sandwiches... asn watched the movie... and that's it.

It's sad because there are so many cooler ways this could have been done, btu I just didn't have time. Next time will be better!

I am currently waiting on a call from someone to do my phone interview for a job in Tampa! I am super duper nervous, it's supposed to happen any minute! Wish me luck! I would love to be that close to the magic!

Well, the interview went pretty well... I'd give it an 8 out of 10... I decided i do not like phone interviews, I feel detached. Anywho, she has to pass on her notes along with my assessments and resume to the next manager for them to review and then they weill decide. I am hopeful since I am pretty sure they are hiring several people since I would have to go to a training class, and it's not like they would have a class with just a few people. The pay would be pretty decent, and it would seriously alter our plans for our December trip, but we have decided we wouldn't cancel, just scale back, since I would be in training and we are not allowed any time off during training. My concern is being able to take time off for the weddings i have to go to, but I am 99 % sure I will take this job if it's offered... thanks for all the well wishes! I am crossing my fingers! The training class starts Nov 29th, so I imagine I will know about the next interview soonish... or not... who knows!

So hope things play out well from the interview. I agree, it is difficult to do the whole phone interview thing. You really can't read people that way and you have to wonder how you come off to them. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I am getting so far ahead of myself... I have found an apartment complex and a daycare that are perfectly situated within 15 minutes of where I would work... And we talked about our December trip plans and how we would adjust... all of this pre planning means I will not get the job because I have juxed myself, lol!
