there was a couple, possibly there on their honeymoon, getting busy in the hot tub. I don't quite think they were actually doing the deed, however it was a very awkward moment for myself, DH and DS when we walked by them viewing the animals around the pool at about 5 pm in the evening. Has anyone come across this and what have you done?

Not at Disney, but once while waiting for a major roller coaster at Valleyfair in Minnesota, the ride broke down, and there were two teenagers who, while in the process of making out must have forgotten the rest of were there, because they nearly had both their shirts off by the time the line started to move. Both were at least fully unbuttoned and open.

Maybe since they were at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, they felt like they should become the "human" exhibit, and they decided to show the natural mating habits to those passing by the display???

Human nature (and lack of courtesy) can lead to really strange sightings, huh?

 Did they stop when they saw you ?

I would have climbed in the hot tub- just to remind them that they dont own the place - that would teach them;)
I know its easy for couples at WDW will to get carried away by the romance ;) :jester: ;)

Or you could have said loudly to your family 'did you know they have video cameras dotted everywhere round this resort'?

Not only is it rude but extremely gross, IMHO.

I don't care if they were on their honeymoon. They should know better. Adults and children could walk by at anytime.

That could be really gross as far as getting in the hot tub after them. Who knows what they left in there.

I can't believe what some people think is normal.

Well, we weren't actually trying to go in the hot tub, however it was just funny because you just knew what they were trying to do (hey, i'm only 32 myself).

The funny thing was about 10 minutes later as we walked back after speaking with a guide near the savannah, a maintenance person was "taking the PH" of the hot tub and the two were on separate sides of the hot tub watching this person do their PH test.

IMHO, i'm sure stuff like that does go on, however in broad daylight it's very shocking to "catch" it in plain view of many people and about 5 floors of balconies directly above.

I stayed at a hotel in Niagara Falls a couple of years ago and decided to use the hot tub. Once I got myself settled I saw something on top of the bubbles. Upon closer inspection it was masses of what looked to be pubic hair!   I got out FAST! YUCK!

This is exactly why I won't use a hot tub anymore.

I don't want to get into warm bath water after someone was getting frisky. GROSS.

My DH and I witnessed this at a resort in the Poconos. This couple was going at it. I mean sex not just groping and stuff. Luckily, this was not a family resort so there were no kids to witness this.

I know this is off topic but something else I find offensive is thong bathing suits at a Disney resort. I wish I had the body to wear one but I would not wear it at a family resort. On our last visit there was someone walking around and swimming in her thong bikini. Very inappropriate if you ask me. My DH didn't see anything wrong with it.;)

Hillbeans,

After reading your post and checking all the replies it made me think of a new commercial I saw the other day.

There's a charter bus with the guide getting all the people on board. It shows them getting into the bus and sitting down...then they show the front of the bus and the sign is changing from Nudist Retreat or something to that effect. Then they do another closeup of people sliding across the seats. Then comes that famous Dial slogan "your not as clean as you think!"

But I honeymooned in Disney and besides constantly holding hands and a harmless quick kiss on the lips or a hug, I kept everything else for the hotel room. I just don't understand what is wrong with some people, but that is just not necessary.

And I am only 34 and that would have bothered me and my DD9 would have seen it(she never misses something you don't want her to see)and that would have been strange to have to explain.
Disney's just not the place for that.

All right I gotta ask...is everyone involved in this thread 34?

Cuz I am too...

Jon

:o at Mazzarafe!! I just saw that "Dial" Commercial yesterday. I am about to gag from the comment about the hair in the Hot Tub in Niagra Falls. I've never loved hot-tubbing before, and quite honestly when we were in Disney it was 90 so I saw no need. I'm just shocked that some people think they're in their own personal backyards. I think to each their own, however actually having personal relations in a hot tub while there are people constantly in and out is gross.

I couldn't imagine people wearing a Thong at Disney. The only explination of that is there are many foreign tourists in Disney and some cultures don't feel like that type of bathing suit is any big deal. Like I said, i'm not a prude and to each their own, however I personally think those are meant for under clothes not as clothes.

OK, after reading this thread I think my days of hot tub use may be over.....yuukk!! I think it is perfectly acceptable to do whatever you want in your own personal hot tub, but not a public one. People amaze me!

Any coincidence that 10 minutes later someone was checking the ph? My guess is someone told the front desk and that's one way of handling it. ???

But I like the idea of....taking my dear children and pointing out the wild animals on the savannah then coming right next to them and pointing at them and saying, "And kids, here's another example of wild animals....in a mating ritual not unlike the pygmy rodent of Indonesia."

Boy I can't beleive it was 5pm! It would be bad at anytime, but I could see someone trying to pull this off in the wee hours - but 5pm!

JJEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

Thought I'd better chime in for the 40ish crowd here!;)

Re: thong suits..... once at a major hotel in Toronto a man was wearing a thong suit at the pool in front of my son, daughter and 2 nieces! He was a professional bodybuilder who had been in a competition there, he was posing with his trophy. Nice guy but had no clue what this look was doing for the 7-13 yr. olds!

I have not run into any such public displays at WDW, thank gosh!

We travel to Cozumel to Dive every summer. About 2 years ago we were on the beach and my son who was almost 13 at the time pointed out that there was a woman who was taking off her top. I know this is normal in alot of places, but she was the only one on that beach full of kids without a top on she was also in a thong. We were grossed out not just because we were sitting there and had to view this but she DIDNT need to show anymore skin then she was already . That is being polite! I walked over and told her that I didnt know if she knew it but swim suits were expected at the resort.I explained that there were many children on the beach and that it was a family resort. She told me to take my "Rug Rats" inside and that she was on her vacation. I went to get my kids to scoot down the beach and while we were walking past my son walked over to her and said " you know you are brave most people as big as you are would cover it all up !!!! She wrapped up in a towel and left the beach about 10 min later .

ps I am almost 36 and no prude but gimme a break you cant be 250 lbs and go out like that !

Wishing everyone a DISNEY day !

When I worked at the Disney Store, a guest returned a one-piece, thong-style Mickey Mouse bathing suit bought at the Disneyland Hotel.

Not only was I shocked that Mickey was on a thong bathing suit but I was amazed that this guest returned the item "used."

I'm some one far from their 30s :p...but I have the same feelings...and this not the first time I've heard/ seen/ or witnessed this action at disney....

1) a couple enjoyin' the back row of Spalsh Mountain a little to much...and left the ride with a stain on the girls shirt...:o

2) elder women in skimpy shorts....more like booty shorts...and bikini tops...SO not disney atire..."Hey lady!....the bakery called...they want there rolls back!"

3) COUPLES IN THE ELEVATOR!!! I can't tell you how many times this has happened to me coming back to the resort late....its seems they don't even care that others are in the elevator!

My all time classic..."romantic" moment at disney would have to be walking into the pool bathroom at CBR and seeing a couple doing it on the counter...   ...we laughed so hard...and just ignored them....I would have walked away but I really had to go the bathroom :(.... going the bathroom seemd awkward....we actually felt WE we're on display now...I saw them the next day behind us at the food court....I turned around and smiled....they snickered back...and I quickly replied " obviously it wasn't as good as it looked!"

Disney is actually the only place where I have seen this kinda behavior....I've seen the nudes in Jamaica...but nothing this bad....I guess every magical place has a "dirty" secret!

Well, what I would do is grab my digitial camera, snap a photo and let the people engaged in whatever activity that they will be able to view and download their picture at my website :)

Wedding: $25,000
DisneyWorld Honeymoon: $2000
Getting your picture taken while getting busy in public by a total stranger and having it posted on the WWW: Priceless!

35 here....

OK, I admit it, I went topless in jamaica. But it was a resort called couples and it was for couples only and no children... and besides....everyone else was doing it.

But there is a time and a place and disney is not the place.
