My husband and I are seperated, no children. We used to travel to Disney every Sept-Oct for the last 12 years( the last being 2006 I can't think about never having the happiness of Disney again, but I would never go without him It was something we enjoyed doing together. I keep coming to the boards (its what i'm used to).

I'm sorry to hear about your separation. You never know what the future may bring, however. WDW may be in your trip plans before you know it. Until then, know that all your DIS friends are thinking of you and hoping for the best for you.:grouphug:

Sending you hugs :grouphug:

And like ukwildcat said, hopefully the future will bring surprises and good things. pixiedust:

Big hug to you:grouphug: You never know what tomorrow will bring.

:flower3: Rather than thinking about it that way, may I suggest that you look at Disney as a reward for coming out the other end of a hard time? Otherwise you (in general) wind up mouning not only the loss of a marriage, abut the loss of a favorite pastime or daydream.

Good luck. Keep your chin up and don't forget to breathe deeply.:)

"This too shall pass"...

As sure as the sun rises every morning, you'll go to Disney again!

You are a member of the largest "family" I know of, the Dis family!:goodvibes

:grouphug:

but come join us on the single/adult board.

going to Dis Solo is a treat and lots of fun - promise!!!

Do you have any nieces or nephews you can bring. You can start a new tradition with bringing them. I honeymooned in Disney and then got divorced. I never thought I would go again but my ds wanted to go when is was 5 so my parents went with us. My ds and I have been going every year now.

I'm very sorry to hear about the news of your seperation - many hugs to you!!!

I too went through a divorce this past year. My ex and I never went to dland together....he never wanted to. After our son was born though it was all different. We both thought about the day he would see the "magic" in person. I almost feel guilty about taking my son for the first time without dad there to experience it with him. It was not an easy divorce and we're actualy heading back to court soon. I feel like this is a reward for my son and I though. I went from being a stay at home mom for over 2 years to now working at an amazing company 10 hour days so I can have 3 days in a row to be home with my son. He stays with grandma when I'm working so Iam confident that he's well take care of during the day. I worked my hiney off this past year.....my son and I deserve to make some new memories together ......as do you. Memories are great to have....but they are also great to make. ((( hugs ))):flower3:

I'm sorry.

I was divorced last year (we were together since 1987, HS sweethearts) and I have two girls (6,3), both are disney-aholics. I thought a trip just wouldn't be the same without their dad, but we sent on a trip Dec 2005 (before we were divorced but I refused to let him play family) with a girlfriend and two of her kids and a trip Dec 2006, just my girls and me. The trip was fabulous and I would do it again in a heartbeat. My girls had lots of fun too and are already talking about our next trip. So as terrible as it seems right now, it does get better.

:) Losing a love is hard enough without feeling like you have to lose a loved place as well. Go back to Disney, but don't stay where you stayed with your ex....use this opportunity to go with a girl friend or sister or even, gasp, your mother, and make new memories at a new resort.

The Disney magic will still work :wizard:

Its time to start a new tradition. You can go solo or invite a friend/family member to go with you. Maybe pick a different time of year to visit and have fun. Disney is the funnest place to be!!:cloud9:
