I just read Harry's first lesson this morning! That is exactly what I need.

I've got a question. Maybe somebody who is familiar with British terms knows the answer. I'm reading #5, on page 502, there's a list of Harry's Christmas presents & Mrs. W. gives him "a hand knittted jumper". Now I know in American terms a jumper is a dress that women/girls wear. Is it a British term for sweater?

Now that I did not know! In the UK the word jumper is much more common than sweater. (sorry - very OT)

Yes, I read it on my way home last night. Made me sad.

And I only have a little bit left of book #5. Should finish it on the way home tonight. And 3 more audiobooks arrived yesterday. I'm waiting for the audiobook for #1, then I'll start listening to that. And we can listen to our walkmans as we work, so I'll be all Harry Potter, all the time!

No worries about fighting. Seems like JunieJay and I are quite similar when it comes to HP! On the Book 7 thread, we posted at the same time and decided that our wands must share the same core and that we're def. friends. There's plenty of Snape to go around. And, if push came to shove, I'd let Junie have Snape as I'd be just as happy to take Lucius Malfoy (although I don't know how much Narcissa would like that).

I finished Order of the Phoenix today. I really liked it. Of course, I cried when Sirius died. And poor Harry, trying to see him again.

I'm taking tomorrow off, and Saturday is a family party (a niece is turning 5) so I don't know when I'll get to start Half Blood Prince. I don't want to rush thru it, but I have a feeling I will just so I can be caught up with the rest of the fans!
