Hi! I have been reading these wonderful posts about your great weddings. And the pictures are beautiful! I got married in march to an amazing man. And we are planning a reception picnic for July in Raystown PA. We had a "quickie" courthouse wedding with only his family in attendance, my mother passed when I was a teen and my dad lives 100 miles away. So we wanted to do the "Party" so we could include everyone.
The reception place is about 2 hours away from our home so logistically it is nutty. We are having bil do the food (he is a chef) and bringing in some servers. So far we are eating Prime Rib, Chicken, Asparagus, Baked Potatos, Fruit and Veggie trays. And some other stuff. I am not anti food but since DH and BIL are chefs I told them they can do the planning of that. Although I am getting a Strawberry cake and cookies from my fav bakery for me!!!
My dress is currently out for alterations. http://www.alfredangelo.com/collect...c9-de43-4942-bfa0-da77e21ebd65&pg=1&colorId1=
And it will be in white. I also am on the hunt for some shorts and a nice tank for that evening. It is going to be laid back and more of a "family reunion" style reception. The kids are welcome to swim down at the beach and we do have access to a playground. http://raystown.nab.usace.army.mil/Activities/redbud.htm
I have my invites sent out although MIL has kept adding to our guest list. It is a pain. Anyone else have this issue!? I would love to do a planning journal but since it is not at Disney I am not sure if you guys would be upset.
