I am new to this! My hubby, 20 year old college student daughter, and I going to Disney for the first time during Thanksgiving this year!!! I'd appreciate any tips, where to eat, esp. on Turkey day, what to pack, etc!!!
Thanks So Much!!
How exciting. I have never been during the busy holiday seasons. My first tip wouldbe to email Garden Grocer to deliver bottled water, soda's and snacks to your room. The prices are reasonable and they deliver for $12. Bottled water is quite expensive inthe park. Take water flavorings, such as kool-aid or tea, then fill up your bottles at the park. Go to any kiosk and they give you free tap water. When you arrive at the parks, go the the ride you most want to ride and get your ride pass that allows you to come back at a specified time to avoid the waiting time. Don't miss Tower of Terror, Rock and Roller coaster, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mt. Space Mt. Dinosaur, Expedition Everest, Kali River, well......I have too many to list. Also, the nighttime shows at each park (AK does not have one) are awesome. Be sure to make dining reservations immediately for any restaurant you want to eat at on property. Liberty Tree would be the best place to eat at for Turkey Day. Be sure to call at 180 days or you may not get in. Have a Great Turkey Day.
WELCOME!! We haven't actually been there for Thanksgiving... yet - but someday most likely we will. It's a lot of fun around the holidays though! Enjoy your time there!
My best piece of advice would be to make sure you have your ADRs (advance dining reservations) in place before you go. We have friends that are going Thanksgiving week and she made their ADRs in late May. If you have not done so, I would get on the phone right now with WDW dining and see what they have available during the week that you are there. Also, the parks will be pretty crowded during Thanksgiving week, so make sure you get to the parks at opening and use those wonderful fastpasses.
