I'm Never Going to Disney Near Easter Again March 2013 TR Completed 1/3 NEW TR LINK!

Hello everyone  , I hope you guys are having a good week. I know, I’ve been super busy this week but I need a Disney fix so I figured I would do a quick/short update.

First Ride at my favorite Park:

When we last left I was on an unsuccessful search for a belt. Once I gave up on the belt search we headed over to one of my favorite ride in Hollywood Studios.

I have always had a fascination with the back scenes aspects of movies, I am one of those people that will watch the bonus features on DVDs over and over :happytv: so this ride is right up my “Alley” so to speak. Or Pun intended because we were on the gangster side. Below are 2 videos I took while on the ride. If you’ve never been on the ride and want to surprise about how it ends, then skip the videos but if you need a Disney check like me check them out.

Here are some pictures as well. Enjoy!

If I remember correctly we waited about 45 minutes for the ride, the line actually extended outside the theater, which is the first time I have ever seen that happen but the line moved quickly.

On our car with us there was a family that had three young boys, one who was less than a year old. I was so impressed because the baby slept through the whole ride even when the gun shots went off.

After we got off the Great Movie Ride we headed to lunch at the Commonsairy (Sorry I’m sure how to spell it :confused3 ). While we were in line we saw costumes from 2 ABC shows.

031-LastManStanding.jpg

Last Man Standing I used to watch this show until they changed the actress of the oldest daughter and I now longer liked the show because in my mind the change was so big.

032-TheMiddle.jpg

The Middle I do love this show, especially Axel whose shirt this is.

For lunch I got a burger and chocolate mousse. I loved the burger and the mousse was nice creamy although I didn’t like the chocolate shavings on the top. Over all I would return to the Commonsairy. While we were eating we sat at a table where we could see the hat through the window and I grabbed a picture because I thought it was an interesting angle.

Well that’s all for today! Sorry its short but my school life is pretty crazy right now. Hope all you guys have a great rest of the week and a great weekend. For the question of the day, what was the Disney first I experienced at Hollywood Studios today?
A Disney First

Im going to start with another quick real life update. This weekend my college did a Relay for Life, and their theme this year was Disney! The group that I relayed with did Toy Story, as our mini-theme.

PhotoGrid_13665128241791.png

This a photo grid that I did for Instagram. The top 2 are our shirts the back is on the left and the front is on the right. The bottom left corner is my friend Mandi and me, the selfie in the middle is one of my favorite pictures of myself, and the last one are cupcakes that we sold at our bake sales. The relay was a lot of fun and it was a nice little Disney fix.

This is going to be another little short update because my life is just so chaotic right now but I need a weekly Disney fix. So, now back to our regular schedule trip report.

A Disney First

When we last left off we had finished lunch. We then headed over to see what time the next Beauty and the Beast show was. While we were walking over I tweeted:

The little boy in footie pajamas at hollywood studios as to be the cutest thing ever

This little boy was so cute in his little footie camo pajamas but it also showed just how cold it was during this week. It also made me giggled because I would be the parent to have my kid stay warm by wearing footie pjs around Disney World. I also grabbed this picture and I love because it just feels so old Hollywood to me.

OldFashionTowerofterror-1.jpg

It turned out that the next showing of Beauty and the Beast was another hour and half away so we needed to find something to kill time. There was an activity that I had read about in many TRs that I had to try so our next stop was&

034-Hollywoodstudios.jpg

We were headed to the drawing class at Hollywood Studios! I was so excited. We had to wait for about 2 classes before we could get in. I passed the time by taking pictures and playing that guess the drawing game on the screens in the little holding area.

035-ArtofAnimation.jpg

I use to love Brother Bear when it first came out.

036-HollywoodStudios.jpg

And of course I had to take a picture of Stitch.

While we were waiting I noticed Mark from DisneyFreak508s College Program trip report. I was so tempted to go up and talk to him but he was too far down the line. It was a pretty cool experience seeing someone from Disboards and I hope next time I see someone from Dis I will actually get to go up and say hi.

When we got into the class I was seated in about the third row and near the right side of the classroom. We had a female teacher but I cant remember her name. She started by asking if anyone had drawn Mickey, Minnie, Donald or Goofy. Then she narrowed it down to us either drawing Minnie or Donald. I voted for Donald along with about 7 other people. Minnie won though so we drew her. I absolutely loved the class and it has become a must do for me on my next trip.

My drawing of Minnie Mouse, DF drew Mickey because she gave instruction on how to do both. But I dont have a picture of his.

We looked around at the art in the let out shop. And then took some other pictures of me.

If you havent done the drawing class I highly recommend it. Well thats it for today, so heres the questions, will be able to get into the next showing of Beauty and the Beast?

The End of the Hollywood Studios Day

I Forgot to say this in my last update but:

Happy 15th Birthday Day Animal Kingdom! pixiedust: party: :bday: :jumping1: :rainbow:

I actually remember when Animal Kingdom open vaguely so its amazing that it has been opened for 15 years!

Subscribing!!! When I first read DF, I thought Dear Fiance. I was like ooooh that's quite the age difference, haha.

Looking forward to reading more about your trip.

I am so with you on Last Man Standing. I really enjoyed it the first season. Then it came back with a different oldest daughter and seemed to get overly political, so I've stopped watching.

I do love The Middle though. That show has me laughing at loud the entire time.

Also, I can't believe Animal Kingdom is 15 years old! I remember watching all the segments about it on Disney Channel when I was younger. I guess I was 10 when it opened, wow!

I loved the drawing class! Finally got to do it for the first time last year. A must do for me from now on for sure! :thumbsup2

LOL :lmao: I will be honest with you...I thought people might thing that but then I was like ehhh...whatever most of the stuff I'm going to talk about is my thoughts/opinions and observations.

In all honesty I think they only episode I watched this season was the one about the election and your right that was very political. And I might be a history major but I am not a huge fan of current politics. But The Middle I love it. I have a little bit of crush on Axel. I don't know why I just do. LOL

I loved the drawing class! Finally got to do it for the first time last year. A must do for me from now on for sure! :thumbsup2

I am a horrible drawer normally and was worried that my drawing would be bad but the class is so step by step that it made it easy. And not to toot my own horn but I think it came our be darn good.

I just want to give all my readers a heads up that I will probably be away from Dis for about 2-3 weeks as Final start a week from Friday and I have about 5 papers to do plus pack up my dorm and move home. Don't think I forgot about you because I will return with videos, pictures, and stories. So, good-bye until after finals. :wave2:

Although finals and the last few weeks are crazy, especially with moving out and trying to find a job for the summer. But i just want to stop in and wish my favorite park a Happy birthday!

Happy Birthday MGM (Hollywood Studios LOL)!!!!!!!

I’M BACK!!!!! Yup, finals are finally over and I can dis again. Don’t worry I haven’t forgotten you guys and I’m ready to give you guys an update.

The End of Our MGM Day

When we last left off me and DFather were leaving the drawing class and heading to our next attraction. Since we had killed the hour and half we decide to hit up the Beauty and the Beast Show. I was so excited, I haven’t seen the show in about 5 or 6 years. I love the stage production of Beauty and the Beast and Lion Kings. But no matter how many times I see the show I’m always so surprise how short the show is. But I was still happy; they played all my favorite songs.

043-BeautyandtheBeast-Copy.jpg

The guy who played Gaston looked like the actor who played Van on Reba. I was so excited because I love that show.

Look at that cute couple!

046-BeautyandtheBeast-Copy.jpg

One of my favorite pictures from the show!

My favorite part though was the little girl sitting next to me. When the Beast was turning back into the Prince she kept telling her dad that it was the Prince and when he was revealed she yelled: “I was right!”

Here’s a video I took from the show…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6BAZzUlb2Y

After the show we headed over to Star Tours, it was the first time I had been on the ride since it renovation. So, it was a first.

I can’t remember if I have mention this yet but this week there were a lot of school trips. Behind us in line there three middle schoolers and their teachers. One of the kids and one of the teacher spent the whole time bonding over Star Wars and for a group of middle schoolers they weren’t as obnioux as a group we would run across in the next couple of days.

My thoughts on the ride are that I do like new technology of the ride and that made the ride more entertaining. On the other hand I don’t know anything about the Star War movies and that made it a lot harder for me to follow the storyline. Would I ride it again? Of course. Is it still one of my favorite
Hollywood Studios Ride? No.

After Star tours we got ready to head out of the park. We had about hour and 45 minutes until dinner and I wanted to change my pants. On the way out I took 2 of my favorite pictures of the trip.

049-HollywoodStudios-Copy.jpg

Our wait at the Bus Stop was about 20 minutes. We ran back to OKW and then headed back out. For dinner tonight we would be eating at a restaurant on the monorail loop so I decide we should take either the EPCOT or Magic Kingdom bus whichever one came first. EPCOT came first which meant I got to ride the Monorail twice. I was so excited that I tweeted:

Monorail monorail monorail #favoritewaytotravel

So I’m going to leave you guys with the question: Where would be eating tonight?

Here’s a quick update with A LOT of pictures so hopefully that makes it worth it. So, here’s the update…

The Reason Go At Easter Was Worth It

When we left off we were on our way to a restaurant. Because, we were early we decide to do 2 full loops on the monorail. I was excited because I LOVE the monorail. I almost bought the bumper sticker down at Disney that says; My other car is the monorail. We got off the monorail at the Grand Floridian to go to the Grand Floridian Café.

I had never been there before but I love Grand Floridian so I was excited to see what it was like but first some pictures that I took.

Isn’t the Grand Floridian so beautiful?

At the Café I got steak, with potatoes for dinner and vanilla ice cream for dessert. I thought the food was good, and the restaurant itself was pretty.
Sorry I didn’t take pictures of the actual restaurant.

After dinner we went and looked at the best part of Easter at Disney….

These Easter Eggs were awesome I have so many pictures to show you. It’s amazing that all of these were made with hallowed out chocolate, candy, fondant and frosting.

After that we were heading to another one of the monorail resorts but which one?

Great pictures from DHS!!

My guess for dinner...'Ohana??? :goodvibes

Thank you! I love DHS and LOVE to take pictures of it! :thumbsup2 I've actually never been to 'Ohana but I'm an VERY picky eater and I don't think there is much at 'Ohana that I would actually eat. But maybe one day!

Oh wow! Those eggs are amazing! I especially love Aladdin and Tangled.

Aren't the eggs fantastic! I was in complete Awe of them. I think my favorite egg changes everyday they are all amazing!

I'm joining in! I'm all caught up now:wave2:

I only seen college so Im thinking well I'm back in college (teaching major as well :teacher:) at 41 but geez he really does look a lot older then her. Then I seen "father" and thought well they do use that term as fiancé so Im not crazy! Nice daddy daughter trip:hug::flower3:

LOL, I have decide since starting to change his name from DF to DFather. Since I'm no where near getting married the idea of DF meaning Disney Fiance never crossed my mind. I original debated calling him DD but I knew that was Disney Daughter and I wanted people to know it was written by me. LOL :rotfl: There is so much to think about when writing a trip report! LOL

Hello all! I hope everyone is doing well. Now that I’m done with school for the year (thank goodness…freshmen year is hard:headache:) I have a lot more time to write my trip report. I don’t like how fast I’m writing because I don’t have a definite plans for another trip so I don’t want it to go too fast. We all know the feeling:(.

This is going to be a picturless update (Sorry, my phone and camera were in the process of dying) but because of that I’m going to do a real quick completely Disney related real life update.

Member of my family (Aunts, uncle and baby cousin) were recently on a DCL (I’m so jealous I love cruises!:lovestruc). One of the ports on there cruise was Florida so they went to Disney World for the day. They went to Magic Kingdom, ate at Be Our Guest and got my baby cousin his first haircut at the Barber Shop. They sent me some pictures so I figured I’d share them.

IMG956760-1.jpg

During the haircut…I love his facial expression in the picture.

Post Haircut
And since DFather lives in Florida he was able to go down for the day and visit so here’ a picture of my cousin and DFather.

Now on to our regularly schedule trip report…

A Pictureless End to the Evening!

After looking at the Easter Eggs we hopped on the monorail. It was so cold during the majority of our trip (I’ll probably mention this a lot because I was shocked :scared1: …and even though I live in the Northeast the cold still really effects me :confused3 ). Any ways on the monorail there was little boy who was probably about 3 years old and we was dressed in footie pajamas to help keep him warm. After seeing two kids in pajamas I finally realized that parents must have been doing it to help keep their children warm. I thought the kid was adorable and I tweeted:

So many kids in pajamas today

We got off the monorail at the Contemporary! We were still pretty early for our plans so we looked around the gift shop. I got a Stitch cup from the restaurant, unfortunately the outer wall broke on the plane ride home but it’s still usable so it okay!

After a quick shopping trip we headed up to Bay Lake Towers  (My favorite resort) because we were going to the top of the world. DFather is a DVC member so we were able to go up :thumbsup2 . When we got up there I tweeted:

I'm on the top of the world...well Disney's top of the world. #disneynerd

I tried to take some pictures but none of them came out well and it was too cold for me to try and figure out my settings. So, we went into the top of the world and got one of the high tables in front of the window.

We were able to see the light show (sorry I don’t know the name :confused3 ) on the castle from where we were sitting, or bits and pieces of it. Right before Wishes started a family (a mother and 2 daughters) came and stood right in front of me, to the point where I couldn’t see around them. I was really annoyed. :rolleyes2

Here’s my pro/con list for watching Wishes from the Top of the World

Pros:
• When it cold its nice to be indoors
• You can hear the music from the show
• Its not as loud (I have a fear of loud noises, I get anixious when it’s too loud, i.e. fireworks, around drums in the marching band parades)

Con:
• The view isn’t as magical as it seeming like it’s going off right behind the castle.

For me the fact that I can watch the show and it not be as loud is the reason I love it!

For people who want to hear the music and watch the show but not be park you can do that from the comtempory balcony and poly’s beach

At the end of the show everyone in the Top of the World started to clap.

I love how no matter where you watch it from people always clap at the end of wishes #disneynerd

After the show we stalled a little while so we weren’t in the traffic getting on the elevator :crowded: . When we did we went back over to the monorail (I spotted the 5 legged goat but my phone was dying so I couldn’t take a picture) and headed back to GF. Because DFather’s GF was there (I don’t remember if I mentioned earlier but we meet up with her for dinner and then she spent the evening with us) she drove us back to OKW. When we got there DFather went to bed, I stayed up for little while, I watched TV and edited my pictures.
And that was Day 2. Where did we go the next day?
