I'm Never Going to Disney Near Easter Again March 2013 TR Completed 1/3 NEW TR LINK!

Hello All! I have to be up at 5:45 tomorrow morning :scared1: (Yes, on a Saturday!), and because of that Im having a very quiet night and thought why dont I Dis.

First Rides and World Showcase

When we left off I had just walked through the EPCOT turnstiles. I forgot to mention a story last time so; I figured Id mention it now.

As I was walking through the turnstiles and CM came up to me and wished me a happy birthday and I thanked her. Then she said, But theres a word missing between Emma and Birthday. I was very confused by that and my face must have shown because she looked at me and laughed and said Princess. I was so happy about that, and it made me feel like a 5 year old again. But that happens often when I'm in Disney.

After that it was time for our first ride. I had a couple of people place guesses on what my first ride is and I will tell you that one of the guesses were correct. Our first ride was one of my favorites&

Spaceship Earth! :thumbsup2

I love this angle of this picture. I took at one point while standing in line.

004-SpaceshipEarth-1.jpg

The line was short as always, a 5-10 minute wait. I always love this ride, although I love the older version better than the interactive part at the end. Am I the only one who thinks that way?

After Spaceship Earth we went over to check the times for rides and decide that Figment was our best option. Here are some pictures I took along the way.

My goal is to one day get a picture of the Figment reception desk that isnt blurry.

As always figment was a walk on but I think its adorable.

After that we headed towards World Showcase because I wanted to see more of the Flower and Garden Show. So, the rest of this update is going to be mainly pictures with some comments. So enjoy my mini tour of the 2013 Flower and Garden Show.

I know I said it was going to be Flower and Garden Show stuff but I really like this picture.

Beauty and the Beast, there a cute story with this one. Right next to these topiaries Princess Aurora was doing a meet and greet. There was a teenage couple up while I walked by and Aurora taught the boy how to pose with a princess and he kind of had this look of, Um&Okay I dont know what Im supposed to be doing. But the girlfriend was getting a kick out of it.

Those are all my Flower and Garden Show pictures I got in World Showcase. I hope you enjoyed, I know that Lady and the Tramp and SnowWhite were out. I was unable to take pictures of those and youll find out why in my next chapter. I also have more pictures from other areas of EPCOT. That is it for this installment I'll leave you with the question what in World Showcase will we do next?
The Rest of Our First EPCOT Day

The Rest of Our First EPCOT Day

When left off I had just finish giving you a mini tour of the Flower and Garden show.

We decide to stop at the American Adventure and while we waited for the Voices of Liberty to come out I tweeted:

American adventure and spaceship earth are probably my favorite attractions at Disney. #disneynerd #historynerd #mylife

After waiting about 5 minutes the voices of Liberty came out. They sang 3-4 songs but I only remember two of them. The first one was Skip to My Lou.

One of the female singers was the lead and she sang to a young boy about 7 years old. They called him up to talk to them and he had no idea how to answer the questions. They were asking him if he had a princess. Or if any of the singers were his princess. And he just kept saying, "I don't know." It was adorable.

009-VoicesofLiberty.jpg

The one in the greenish dress was the lead, in skip to my Lou.

The second song I remember them singing was If You Wish upon a Star. If you follow the link you can see a video I took of them.

They were fantastic as always, although there show seemed shorter this time around Im not sure why :confused3 . Soon enough we were heading into the theater to watch the American Adventure. I love this show so much, and once we got out I tweeted.

The end of the American adventure will always give me goosebumps especially the parts with JFK and 9/11 #historynerd

No matter how many times I watch it I still get goosebumps every time I watch it. The JFK part when you see JFK JR saluting his casket gives me goosebumps because when I did a project on JFK I learned that he told the solider that his dad was the president because he didnt understand what had happened yet. So, every time I see that scene I think about and get teary eyed and goosebumps. :sad1:

After the show I decide I wanted to a funnel cake. The line was pretty long but I was hunger. While I was waiting in line I was behind a young high school couple who were probably there on a school trip. It looked like they had just started hanging out and it looked like they were falling in love at Disney:love: . It was really cute.

Once I had my funnel cake we continued walking through world showcase but I couldnt take pictures because my hands were full. When we got to Mexico I wanted to go on the ride because I like it. When we got into the pavilion I was shocked because there was an actual line for it :scared1: . The line was only about 10 minutes but it was still shocking.

After we got off the Mexico Ride we had a little bit of time to kill before we had to leave for dinner. We checked the wait time for Test Track but it was about 90 minutes even for Single Rider! So, we decide against that idea. Instead we did some pre-shopping at Mouse Gears. I saw a couple of cute shirts but I didnt buy any of them yet.

Soon it was time to head to dinner. So, where do you think we headed for dinner? (Ill give you a hint, it was a resort restaurant).

You missed my favorite band in Epcot! I go for hours to watch British Revolution. Every set is different than the one before. Great update!

Love your pics! I have never been to Epcot for the Flower and Garden Show, but I think I may need to go. Everything looks beautiful.

Can't wait to hear what you had for dinner :)

Wonderful update! :)

Thank You!

Thanks. I've never stop to watch the British Revolution. Normally when I've gone to EPCOT in the past I start in Mexico and by the time I get to the England/Canada area I'm exhausted and go through them quickly. I'll have to stop and watch them next time though.

Joining in

Welcome!

Thanks! I honestly love going during the Flower and Garden show. I can't wait to show you guys the pictures that are coming up later from my second EPCOT day because there are some that I just look at and am amazed that people can do that.

It’s a horribly rainy night here at college and I am thanking God for an easy week here at school.

I’m going to give you a heads up that there are going to be very few pictures, the long travel day was starting to hit me and I was sleepy.

The End of Our First Day

When we left, we had just finished looking around Mouse Gears and were heading to the bus stop. As we were rounding the corner we saw an Old Key West bus was coming. PERFECT TIMING!:cool1:

We hopped on the bus and headed back. We were thinking about getting off the bus and getting changed because it was getting cold but we decided not to because it was too close to our reservation. So, we rode our bus all the way to Hospitality House because we would be eating at Olivia’s tonight. A Disney must in my family.

We walked in and were seated almost immediately. Our waiter in my mind was pretty unmemorable; he only did what he had to do.

For dinner I had Barbeque Pork, Spinach and Mac & Cheese.

Marinated-chicken-breast-with-mango-glaze-and-mac-and-cheese.jpg

I got you guys a food picture off Google. I know how much you diser like food pictures. :thumbsup2

This meal was delicious. I would get it again in a heartbeat and recommend it. The Mac & Cheese was the best. I believe DF got some sort of Fish, I believe he got fish every night. LOL.:rotfl2:

After dinner we braved the cold, because yes it was cold, it was cold every day we there, but I’ll talk more about that later. We went back to the room, DF pants and coat on and I threw on a sweatshirt. We headed to the bus, while we waited for the bus I tweeted:

You know it cold in Florida when even a New Englander who left snow today thinks its freezing

After a couple minutes a family came down to the bus stop. They had two daughters and two grandchildren I believe. The granddaughter was about 2 1/2 – 3 years old and she was absolutely adorable. She was so happy to be there and had little blonde pigtails with Cinderella Bead in her bows. While we were waiting for the bus we could see Illuminations off in the distance and the Grandfather pointed them out to the grandkids and they were so excited and happy to watch it. I hope they had a magically trip, especially because the grandkids were the perfect age do Disney. Not that there in an unperfect age.

Soon the DTD bus came and we got on. When we got off at DTD we walked into the Marketplace and I saw a group of high school/college age guys and they were running through the jumping fountain right when you walk in. It was so cute because they were acting like little kids and not caring if they look cool or not. Which in my book they did look cool because they were having fun in Disney.

Our first stop was the Christmas shop. I love going in that store I don’t know why, I don’t really look at oriments, mainly because me and Mom don’t decorate a tree in our house. But I love the feeling and vibe of being in that store. I snapped a picture of one of the 12 days of Christmas posters.

014-Christmasshop.jpg

After we went to Christmas Shop we went into Tren-D, one of my favorite stores in all of Disney. If I won the lottery I would plan an amazing Disney Trip and buy everything in that store. :rotfl2: There was actually a shirt I saw there that I wish I had bought but I didn’t and I regret it. We walked right through to the World of Sport and I played with some of the Disney balls, because I am 5 years old, actually I’ll be honest I’d do that no matter where I am. :rolleyes1 Our next store was non-other than…

016-InstagramedWorldofDisney.jpg

We looked around for a while but didn’t buy anything because I like to be sure before I spend my money. Our last stop of the night was the art shop. I looked around and found a book about Hollywood Studios, but the title was MGM, this made me happy because it will always be MGM in my mind. LOL.

We went to the bus stop and had to wait about 20 minutes for the bus to come. While we were waiting a family was with us and they spent the whole time complaining about how the bus wasn’t coming and that there was more than one resort at each bus stop. When people complain about the bus I get annoyed because they tell you that the busses run about every 20 minutes. I also don’t like how they do the bus at DTD because people form a line so when the resort bus comes they get confused as to why people aren’t getting on. Does anyone else feel that way or have had that problem?

When we got back to Old Key West I crashed as soon as my head hit the pillow.
So the Search Begins (The Next Chapter)

I love the the countdown!!! That's a great idea to do!
I am just starting to read your Trip report... so far I like it and love the pictures about the new Fantasyland... can't wait to see it myself! Ok, I am going back to reading!

I get annoyed with people who complain at Disney in general. Sometimes there are good reasons, but most of the complainers I hear and just boohoo-ing over silly stuff like a bus taking 20 WHOLE MINUTES to arrive!! Oh nooo!!!

You know, Disney provides those for our convenience. Sometimes poopoo happens... get over it and hush up... you are at DISNEY!! I know people who cannot afford a trip to Disney, we should be happy that we are able to do it at all. And there are people with WAY worse problems than a late bus... sheesh.

Looking forward to the next update :)

:hyper: I love this !! I agree 100% .. if you don't like it .. then rent a car next time .. or better yet .. go to Six Flags.

I love Trend D's too !! :goodvibes

That is my biggest Disney Pet Peeve! I love the busses. With DF living in Florida I was worry we wouldn't be taking the busses but luckily we did. But I will attempt I did miss taking the Magical Express.

TrenD is my favorite Disney Store because everything they have in there is very similiar to my non-Disney style.

If I remember correctly that was the only time that we dealt with people complaining about the busses which is good.

Hello, everyone! I’m going to start with a mini real life update because it loosely relates to Disney. Today I went to an event for my future teacher club where all the schools from our state get together and have a mini field day. It was my first time going and it was a lot fun, my team actually won the whole thing.:cool1::banana: Two of our games we got almost a perfect score. :thumbsup2

The reason I’m sharing this is because we had to come up with a name for our team and we were the Purple Pirates and we had to come up with chant/cheer for our Student program. We did ours to the tune of the Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Song, and I thought I’d share the lyrics with you guys.

:rolleyes1 “Yo ho, yo ho, it’s a teacher’s life for me,
We encourage, inspire and teach
Learn up me student Yo, ho
Yo, ho, it’s a teacher’s life for us.”:rolleyes1

I also thought I’d share a couple close of my shirt because I thought it came out really cute.

I know the shirt looks blue, but I promise you it is a lavender color shirt.

And The Search Begins:

Today was day two of our trip and we were heading to my favorite park!:woohoo: I’m going to wait and tell you that for a little while later. I woke up, called my mom, showered and got ready. It was pretty cold the whole week so I had to bundle up with jeans, long sleeve t-shirt and a windbreaker. Once we were all ready we headed out at about 10:45. While we were waiting for the bus I tweeted:

Favorite park day! #hollywoodstudios #reallymgm #happy

We only had to wait about 3 minutes for the bus to do a U-turn and then we loaded up on to the bus and were off to Hollywood Studios. I believe we made it through the security line pretty well because I didn’t have notes saying otherwise. As soon as we got off the bus I started taking pictures of Tower of Terror. I don’t actually go on the ride but I have a fascination with the building, I don’t know why. :confused3

Once we got through the gates I went on mission. I brought the wrong jean with me because they’re too big and I left my belt at home. So, my mission was to find myself a belt to wear for the rest of the trip. I looked in all the stores but they didn’t have any. I did however find these shirts and I couldn’t help wishing I had someone that I could buy the Mickey shirt for so that I could be a cute Disney couple.

023-CuteShirts.jpg

While running from store to store I snapped a couple more pictures.

024-TowerofTerror.jpg

Another picture of the Tower of course.

DF request this picture, it’s the car located on by the bathrooms on Sunset
Boulevard.

Yet another picture of my beautiful tower.

026-TowerofTerrorInstagramed.jpg

I had to instagramed the tower too.

So, the lesson this entry is make sure you always bring the right size pants and/or a belt. The question to end this entry is what will be our first ride at Hollywood Studios.
