I have a recipe for fortune cookies and I would love to put fortune in them to get my family even more excited for our trip. Could someone make, or help me think of things to put on the fortunes? We're going to all the parks, including Blizzard Beach and staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

What an awesome idea! You mean something like movie quotes that sound like fortunes? Here's a few...

Do not be fooled by its commonplace appearance. Like so many things, it is not what outside, but what is inside that counts. -Aladdin

All of this has happened before, and it will all happen again. -Peter Pan

Always let your conscience be your guide. -Pinocchio

For every to, there is a fro, for every stop there is a go and that's what makes the world go round. -The Sword and the Stone

Ladies don't start fights, but they can finish them! -The Aristocats

Absence makes the heart grow fonder... Or forgetful. -Peter Pan

Faint hearts never won fair lady. -Peter Pan

The seaweed is always greener in somebody else's lake. -The Little Mermaid

The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it. -The Lion King

Life's not a spectator sport. If watchin' is all you're gonna do, then you're gonna watch your life go by without ya. -The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Better to beg forgiveness than ask permission. -The Hunchback of Notre Dame

The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all. -Mulan

Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind. Or forgotten. -Lilo and Stitch

You've buttered your bread, now sleep in it. - Jiminy Cricket in Pinnocchio

When you go after honey with a balloon, the great thing is not to let the bees know you're coming. - Winnie the Pooh

You don't want to be doing that, mate. - Jack Sparrow

Fish are friends, not food!- Bruce, Finding Nemo

In every job that must be done there is an element of fun - Mary Poppins

If you need more, search for a specific movie title in imdb and browse the quotes section for more. Would love to know how everything turns out!

Sorry to bombard you, but another thought was to put on the fortune either:

1) fun facts about WDW & resort
2) Hidden Mickey locations
3) 'freebies' or secrets about WDW that people offer on these boards (Disboards is great!)

runskyhy...great job on the quotes! Although...I would leave off
Better to beg forgiveness than ask permission. -The Hunchback of Notre Dame
I don't want my family to know that is a possibility. :goodvibes

The quotes and other things that runskyhy posted would also be a fun way to do a countdown to disney. You could put them on a countdown chain, in numbered envelopes or on a sticky pad or small clipboard and pull one off each day. You could also put them in numbered easter eggs and open one each day before the trip. In some you could put a little candy surprise as well.

Just a thought. The fortune cookies sound like so much fun! Let us know how they turn out and how easy they are/aren't to make. If they are easy...post the recipe for us.

Here are a few secrets/fun facts:
1. Wake Up Tink: When Magic Kingdom opens, the first child in “Tinker Bell’s Fantasy Shop” is given a magic wand to wake up Tinker Bell.
2. Collect a Monorail Co-Pilot Card: They will allow four people to sit up front with the captain on each ride…all you have to do is get there a little bit early and ask the CM helping people board.

Well, I just tried the cookies for the first time and it didn't go that well. I think my oven must cook a little bit hotter than the recipe I have because they got too crunchy too soon. They do taste great though. :thumbsup2 I'm going to try it again tonight and probably this weekend too. I'm determined to make this work.

I LOVE  everyone's suggestions for the fortunes. I haven't put them in yet. I figured I should get the cookie part figured out before I add them. :rotfl:

They have not let anyone ride up front with the pilot since the Monorail accident last July. I don't think they ever will again.

If you need someone to help eat the 'test cookies', I'd be happy to help with this, too! :lmao:

We asked 4 months ago and while they didn't let us ride in the cab, the conductor did bring us monorail 'wings' stickers to wear! Maybe you can ask for the stickers instead. :goodvibes

of including things like waking TINK. A child might get her heart set on it and be very dissapointed. 1 person a day is very blessed...the rest of us have to make due looking for Tink to fly around the shop!
