All of the WDW books I have just make a brief mention of the Neverland Club, as in "it's the best childcare facility at WDW". Can someone give me more information on it? Specifically:

Is there a link with more specific info?

Can I take my children there if I'm staying at the Contemporary?

Is this someplace where I can leave my children for 2-3 hours and they will be having a great time? (they are 4 and 6)

What exactly do they offer there?

TIA

Mary

My kids stayed at the club at the Contemporary 2 years ago and the Neverland club last year. They absolutely loved the Neverland Club! They were 6 and 8 but I think your kids would love it too.

There was a ton more stuff for them to do there. It looked bigger to me too. We had to drag them out of there. They have a big arts and craft section. The cms told us that they were awarding my daughter the "most crafts ever made" award! :teeth: We brought a big bag of stuff back to the room with us. My son liked the video section. And they both liked the food better than the Contemporary club.

I think they also had a dressup section? Plus movies. And games. I'm pretty sure you can take them there if you are staying at the Contemporary. I hope so, because that's where we are staying next year and they are already asking if they can go back to the Neverland Club!

My dd's (4 & 7) loved the Neverland Club. They were mad that we showed up! My oldest dd loves arts and crafts too. The younger dd liked the movies and the dress up area. The design of the Neverland Club is great... you actually climb through the Darling's window into the nursery! My girls can't wait to go back in Feb.

We traveled with friends on our last trip and the kids (ages 10, 9, 6, and 4) stayed at the Neverland Club for about 4 hours while the adults went to Pleasure Island. They loved it! We were there off-season, and this was in the middle of the week, so there were very few kids there...I think around 12 or 15. They have a buffet meal, seems like there was a decent variety of food (all I remember for sure is macaroni and cheese!) Parents get a pager to carry so you can be reached in case of an emergency. We felt very comfortable leaving the kids there and are planning to do it again on our next trip.

There is a site somewhere that has pictures...maybe if you try a search for Neverland Club you can find it...it is very cool how the kids get into the club!

Don't believe the Neverland Club has its own webpage or anything like that, but most of the guidebooks have a description. Believe they are open from 5pm to midnight, and the fee is $10/hour/child (they round to quarter hour increments). Dinner is in the 6-7 pm range, so you might want to arrange to have your children there by then. Would strongly recommend reservations - they may even be required (you need to cancel 24 hours in advance). We were given a pager when we left so they could reach us in case of emergency. My son is 9 and had an Ok time, was disappointed that most of the video games were older versions than his at home (oh well) and there were mostly girls there that evening - so he's not wild about going back. But he's in the minority from what I've read here!

My daughter loves the Neverland Club, but she likes Camp Dolphin even better because they do face painting. The Neverland Club is very large with multiple play areas. You do not have to be an onsite guest, as far as I know. Celia syated there for about 4 hours on a weekday (our anniversary) and she was the second-to-last child to leave at around 10:30. I was pretty surprised there weren't more kids there.

Camp Dolphin (in the Dolphin) is a smaller club with 3 smallish rooms. However, the CMs there are really special. We've had the same ones the last couple of visits. My daughter loves the facepainting and they will also feed the kids dinner as part of their fee. In addition, they make a trek to the Dolphin's video game room with a bunch of (free) tokens for each child. The best part of Camp Dolpin is that sometimes it's free. Yes, I said "free". If you are dining at Shula's or Blue Zoo (or maybe even other fancy restaurants in the Dolphin) your children 4 - 12 can stay at Camp Dolphin for 2 hours for free. That's enough time for a nice dinner alone. We usually pick up about 30-45 minutes before IllumiNations so we can watch the fireworks together :).

They ages start at 4 and must be potty trained. You may want to look into the Fairy Godmothers (do a search). I used them before my DD was 4 and they were great all 4 times I used them. They are usually older grandmotherly type women who bring age appropriate toys and sit your kids in your room. I used one for the first time when my DD was 4 months old and her real grandmother was too sick to babysit.

Just use the "normal" Disney number - you make reservations for Neverland just as you would for rooms, PS's, etc. You will need to give them a credit card #, which they explain will be charged $10 (I think) if you don't show or cancel w/i 24 hours....

Hope your kids have fun!

For rooms, I call 407-WDISNEY

For restaurant PS, I call 407-WDW-DINE

Which is it?? Thanks!!

Uh...(feeling sheepish) I think it was the WDW Dine #. I called the resorts # to check on a room reservation detail, then they switched me to the "other guys" to do PS's, Neverland, etc. I believe.
Sorry I wasn't clearer :o

I have made 2 reservations for DD in Dec. The number is 1-407-wdw-dine. You can make ressies 90 days in advance, in fact, it is treated like a PS.

My son is so excited to hang out at the Neverland Club. We wanted to do it last trip but didn't. My question is, what are most people doing when the kiddo's are in the club? I'm traveling solo with my son so it will just be me, so I'm not crazy about doing Pleasure Island. Maybe I could do some shopping in DTD. Or I might go over to MK and ride Space Mountain (since he isn't tall enough). Does a bus go directly from the Poly to DTD? Then how would I get back to POP from the Poly? I'm thinking a MK bus, bus but what time do those busses run until? Anyone know? Sorry for all the questions!

Me, dh, and my 16 year old dd are heading over to MGM to ride the "big" rides while the 2 little ones (6 and 4) will be at Neverland Club. I'm trying to figure out if it would be easier to drive over to MGM or just take a bus over there from the Poly (we're staying at the Contemporary).

Anyway, there are only like 4 rides that we are planning on doing while at MGM without the littlier children.
