Chapter Forty-Seven: World Showcase and a little photo shoot!
Day 8: January 24th, 2013
The moon was crazy that night, since it was very clear out!
We continued on, marching through Germany, where my Mom wanted to stop by and look at all of the Christmas ornaments.
Obviously a photo of the pickle tree was necessary. I love that tradition! I didn't know about it until my old co-worker gave me a pickle ornament for Christmas to hide in the tree... and now that I think about it, I'm not sure we ever found the pickle. It is quite possibly still sitting in our tree right at this very moment, out in the garage. Welp, better keep an eye out for a rogue pickle in the tree come Christmas time! HAHAHAHA.
Pickles aside, my Mom was super into all of the cute ornaments in there. She seriously took like 50 photos on her iPhone, hahaha. My Mom's kind of hilarious.
After we left Germany, we decided to take some nice little photos nearby... I kind of look a little drunk in this photo, but I wasn't, I swear.
Bruce and Amy looked all sorts of adorable. I loved Amy's Norway hat.
While in the midst of our photo shoot, a little child was having a serious meltdown nearby... to the point where I decided to take a photo.
This probably makes me a terrible person for taking a photo, but this kid was DONE. His Dad let him throw down though, and away from the crowds, so props to him. But yeah, he was rolling all over the place...
ANYWAY, we got back to photo-taking, and this one of me and Matt isn't really my favorite photo ever of us, but it works, hahaha.
We moved on from our photo sesh and hit up Italy, Japan, and France. Haaaaave I mentioned how much I love World Showcase at night? Because I do. A lot.
We decided to go find a spot to watch Illuminations from, and found one over in England. While we waited, Matt went to get us ice cream while Bruce and Amy went to get some fish 'n chips!
Illuminations was beautiful as it always is, though the lady in front of me thought it was necessary to hold her camera ABOVE HER HEAD for photos/video. Nope, not annoying at all. Buuut I dealt, and got a couple of photos, though I was not really in a position for great photo-taking unfortunately.
My Mom seemed to really enjoy Illuminations, which was great to see! After the show finished, I hugged my Mom goodbye since she had to head out to her hotel as she had an early flight back to Boston the next morning.
It was wonderful to spend time with my Momma Mia in Disney World, and she really was the first one to get me into Disney in the first place, taking us when I was 6 and then 12! In fact, here are a few throwback photos from when I was 6, hahaha:
I miss the days of Yellow Mickey ponchos! And my Mom's awesome hair, and my Dad's short shorts. And also my brother's stubbornness when he refused to wear ponchos while it rained.
Buuut anyway, back to the present.
We left Epcot, then headed back to our room... where we spotted cute bunny rabbits outside of the Villas!
We did the most boring thing that night.. LAUNDRY. Wompwomp.... but we also ate our cupcakes from Starring Rolls. They were super smushed and deformed, but still just as delicious as always.
Our plan was to go swimming while we did laundry, but I completely conked out on the bed. I felt bad because Matt ended up having to do all of the laundry by himself. I'm kiiiind of the worst sometimes, but I didn't intentionally fall asleep! I was just pooped I guess!
Tomorrow, we enjoy breakfast at what became one of my favorite spots, spend our last time at Animal Kingdom, and have a wonderfully relaxing/laid back day!
YEAH YIPPY WOOHOO MOMENTS!

2. Seeing the Polynesian and really falling in love with it even more than before
3. Meeting up with my statue BFFs
4. Seeing/spending time with my Mom in Disney World!
5. Meeting Mexican Donald
6. Eating at San Angel Inn for dinner, yum!
7. Margaritas/strolling around World Showcase at night
