I'm in need of Swan and Dolphin and Party help!!

First, I must explain our family's situation..

My family has booked a date for the Pirate and Princess Party in August. In our family, there are three kids; a 13-year-old (but by then she will be 14), a 12-year old (ME) and a 10-year old boy. The kids love disney though and they are not advanced;if anything they are disadvanced if you know what i mean. We are debating on whether the kids will be too old for it or not. What are your thoughts on this? If we decide not to do it, are going to book a trip to Atlantis in the Bahamas for August, and book a Disney World trip for July. If we keep the party, we will only be able to go to Disney in August, do the party, no Atlantis, and stay at the Boardwalk Inn. The other option is to go to Disney in July with no party and stay at the Swan and Dolphin, then go to Atlantis in August. HELPPPP!!!! What should i do based on their ages, cause they don't care, they just want to do something! Please help us!

OK ^ that's the first situation. Might be confusing...

In addition to help with that, would anyone be able to give me their opinion on the Swan and Dolphin. Their experience and whether it is worth it to stay there or not. Also, which is better ; Swan or Dolphin...which one should my mom book if we end up booking here.

Even though i am only 12, I can understand things, show this to my mom, etc, so please don't hesitate to give me your full opinion and response.

Corinne...You are so cute for asking opions here on the DIS....so I will give you my opinion, and then a little advice(sorry-the Mom in me)

I think that 2 vacations sounds way better to me then one vacation.

What matters is will everyone feel the same? Will your 10yo brother want to do the party or would he rather do the 2 vacations. You should suggest to your parents that everyone in the family make up a pros and cons list and come to a decision over pizza one night. Remember-always treat others as you would want to be treated-Good luck on the trips/party!

Thank you so much for your opinion and advice. We ended up taking the two vacations and instead of the party, we are going to take the Family Magic Tour and do some extra stuff.

Thank you canwegosoon! You're so lucky to get the free dining on your next vacation. We have never been able to do that with two middle-schoolers and the heavy workload they receive. If we miss more than two days of school for vacation, we have a HUGE workload. (UGHH)
You're also lucky to be staying at the Polynesian. I love that resort-just the atmosphere alone makes me tingle!!
