O-kay guys, I think its pretty common knowledge that I LOVE Dole Whip Floats.

Well, today after church I was cruising our local Walmart super store, when I ran across Blue Bunny pineapple sherbet....say it isn't so!! I than hit the fresh juice isle and found Dole brand fresh pineapple juice. I know you can buy the whip mix on the internet that you make in a ice cream maker but this is SO much easier.

Cost of the Blue Bunny Pineapple sherbet.....2.50

Cost of the Dole fresh pineapple juice.......1.00

Sitting here enjoying the DIS with an out-of-this world Dole Whip Float........PRICELESS!!!

Try it for yourself.....you will thank me!

Sounds yummy. Now I'm craving a Dole Whip.

Mmmmm. . . I could live on pineapple. To have a DoleWhip right now. . . yum!

That sounds sooo delicious. You would think that for someone who has been to WDW 20+ times (like I have, not including Disneyland and DCA, no less) that I would have had a DoleWhip by now. But, NO! This is the year that I will finally buy one!

:sunny: YUMMY! :lmao:

Saturday at the mall, my mom and I both had a pineapple ice cream, and when we sat down to eat it, I closed my eyes and imagined I was at Disney!
Hmmm....

I hate to admit it but.....I am a Dole Whip snob. I have to have one once or twice each trip.

And I will admit.....this is the closest thing I have found to the real thing!!

Somebody help me...where can I find this mixture to make in an ice cream maker? Is it on the Dole site...and if so...what exactly is the correct name for this?
Thanks

Hmmm...what exactly is a Dole Whip Float and where in WDW do I find it?! It sounds fantastic and I WANT ONE!!!! :yay: My honeymoon is this August and I don't want to miss out on anything!!!! :bride: :groom: princess: :wizard:

A dole whip float is a little slice of heaven. It's pineapple ice cream with fresh pineapple juice, very refreshing. If you go to Adventure Land between the Swiss Family Tree House and the bridge that leads to Fantasy land there is a place to buy them. you must get them and I must go to Walmart this afternoon. I just hope our Walmart has pineapple sherbet. good thing I have 3 super Walmart's to look for it!

Now my mouth is watering!! ;) I never had a Dole wlhip at WDW even though I have read about them so much here on the Dis. This past summer we were in Hawaii and on Oahu we went to the Dole Plantation and that is where DH and I tried them. I will be looking for them in WDW this August. :p

I prefer Hyvee pineapple sherbet over the Blue Bunny (and Blue Bunny is my favorite ice cream brand).

I love making floats with lemon-lime soda/pop.

I couldn't wait to try a Dole Whip - and I didn't care for it. It wasn't a float though - maybe that would have been better.

Thanks HunnyPots. I have a old fashioned hand crank ice cream maker. Can you use this, or does it have to be the "commercial" type maker that are in resturants?

If so...do you just mix it in your ice cream maker after mixing with water? I hope so...I will have this ordered and on its way ASAP!

I'm going in June, but if I can do this at home to ease the wait, that would be fantastic!  :yay: :yay:

When I get the dole whip float, I always get mine made with vanilla soft serve and pineapple juice. For a cone, I prefer the pineapple softserve. I have been known to go buy a vanilla softserver and pour pineapple juice over it at home... tres delightful!!

:thumbsup2

Yum, sounds good.

I live two blocks from a Hyvee, so I'll try their pineapple sherbet first.

herc.

I bought the Blue Bunny and it just didn't taste right. I think it might have been old :guilty:

Oh well, it was close and close was good enough for me! Only 28 days until my next "real" Dole Whip float!

On the website, there are directions for mixing the soft serve mixes. The directions are there for small home freezers and commercial machines. :thumbsup2

to post something like this. :smooth: I had to go to all three stores in town to find the BB sherbert. None anywhere, Walmart just stopped having it. It was all gone but ther other kinds were there. So I had to try it with van. and the juice, not that great I must say but will try it when I get to the world. Thanks for trying thoe.
