sniff, sniff, as soon as I read your first post my eyes filled up, I feel for you I know when my oldest DS mentioned going into the service to us if felt something inside crumble, I think its just our motherly protection comming out, no matter how bad our kids make us nuts, we cant help letting the emotions fly out. They will always be our children, and I dont know if your like me, but when ever there is a life changing event in Patricks life, my minds eye always sees him as my little 2 year old boy, and I just want to hold his hand and let go.
