I'm home, and missing WDW already.

Well, hi everyone

This trip to WDW (our 3rd in a row) was the BEST of all of them.

I was able to get a great deal at the Sheraton Vistana, and although it was "offsite" it was the perfect answer to making a great Disney vacation for my non-Disneyized DH. He had a great relaxing vacation and me & dd had a great time at the parks every day.

With us went my best friend and her fiancé, both have never been to WDW. (She had been to DL about 5 yrs ago.) They both enjoyed WDW and they were actually happy that when I went into commando mode, cuz they were able to see the best things in the parks in the shortest amount of time. (at least someone appreciates my commando style

I met up with Scratch, last Saturday.... her "cottage" is absolutely wonderful. I arrived at SSR before she got there and so Lauren & I walk around the resort until she got there. This time she got a studio and guess what....their building unit was painted LIME GREEN. They knew Janet was coming and gave her the "DIS" building LOL. Then we (Scratch,Tanya, Lauren & I) walked over to DTD and ate lunch at the Earl of Sandwich. Janet & I kept staying "isn't this so cool to be meeting in WDW this time"

Well that's it for now.. I've got lots of work that has to be done in order to pay off this trip but I'll get to my trip report with pictures early next week. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them.

Hi Wendy,

Glad to hear you had a great trip. That's nice that you could organize a meet down there. If you guys have another meet in Peterborough this winter I'll try and make it.
We still don't know if and when we are going to make it back down. We are hoping for the week between Christmas and New Years and also the last 2 wks in March. We'll see how things play out!

I understand your missing WDW already. I remember my first time back from Jamaica, I stayed in bed for two days, I was soooooo sad. But then I remembered the wonderful time I had, the fabulous memories and of course the great pictures. I spent some time reflecting back to all the little details of the trip and counted my blessings that I was fortunate to have even had the opportunity to experience what I did. Then what did I do....I started planning my next Jamaica vacation (I have been back twice since).

In all honesty, I hope I don't become overly enticed with WDW (as many people on disboards.com seem to be). It is a much more difficult holiday to plan then the ones I usually plan (quick last minute all inclusives to the Caribbean or Mexico). No real effort required in planning since I have done it so many times. No Brainers I call them. But planning WDW...so much work!

Again, glad you had such a great time.

Hi Wendy!
We just got back from our Disney trip too! Three days in WDW and then 7 days on the Disney Magic! And of course, we had a fabulous time! I thought about you when we were in WDW and kept looking out for you!


It was our first time at MNSSHP and it was great! I especially loved the way we could walk on 99% of the rides! The kids had a great time with the trick or treating! They were kind of puzzled at first and I don't think they realized that they could actually trick or treat, but once they got started, they were so excited! We also loved the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot! When I mentioned this to my DH before we left, he was kind of so so about it. But once we started eating, was he ever enthusiastic!

We had a great time on the cruise too but I don't want to hijack your thread! Anyway, glad you had a good time and were able to hook up with Scratch! I'm going through withdrawal already and wondering when we can go again (in addition to being surrounded by laundry!)!
