We left DHS after the Block Bash Parade and had a couple of hours downtime back at the room at OKW before setting out for our ADR at Narcoossees.
We caught a bus to MK and then got the resort launch over to Grand Floridian which was perfect as it comes up to the jetty alongside Narcoossees. It took about 45 minutes from leaving our room at OKW to get there. We checked in a little early and were given a pager, and told that there was a wait. In the end, we waited about 25 mins before being buzzed which was ok but there really isn't much of a waiting area here so that wasn't great, and the area was crowded.
We were sat by a window with a spectacular view of the castle and our waitress that night was Susan who was friendly and efficient. She brought us out a personalised menu with our names on it wishing us a Happy Anniversary which was a nice touch.
I ordered a passion fruit mojito which was really good:
DH ordered a pina colava but I don't seem to have a picture of that one. He enjoyed it.
Susan brought out a breadbasket filled with a lovely soft and crusty loaf of sourdough, and the chef came over to discuss the menu in view of our allergies.
DH ordered the cheese plate for his appetiser. He absolutely loved this, and his comments just now when I asked him about it (some 3 weeks on) were "it was exceptional and wonderful and worth the trip alone"! (I think he means the trip to this restaurant from OKW, not from the UK)

!
Narcoossees Artisan Cheeses - Humboldt Fog, Cashel Irish Blue, and Tete De Moine $15
I had the pear and endive salad (with walnut and feta) which isn't on the online menus from what I can see. It was light and refreshing:
DH and I both ordered the whole red snapper, thai style, served with rice, his is the first picture (crispy deep fried) and mine is the second (pan fried) as the chef said the oil they were using might have been used for shellfish.
Crispy whole yellowtail snapper, rice, charred haricot verts and soy-lime vinagrette $35
Pan-fried whole yellowtail snapper, rice, charred haricot verts and soy-lime vinagrette $35
well, what can I say? I have been fortunate enough to go to Thailand and eat at restaurants out there that are like fish supermarkets where you load your trolley with your fish and accompaniments and then ask the chef to prepare the ingredients exactly to your specification. This dish compared very favourably. It was, quite simply, divine. DH agrees.
We then had a short break when we went outside to the verandah to watch 'Hallowishes' and the electrical water pageant. fantastic!
For dessert I chose the almond crusted cheesecake (mmmmmmmm, this was a delicious combination) and DH had the gelato sampler (also good), and we both had cappucinos as our DxDP drink.
Narcoossees Almond-crusted Cheesecake - with lambert cherry sauce $8
Narcoossees Gelato Sampler - chocolate, raspberry, pistachio and cappuccino $7
Girls had fruit cup to start, pasta with butter and a jug of marinara sauce on the side, and DD1 had the brownie sundae for dessert. They both cleared their plates and their meals were of course covered by the
DDP, BUT I would not be pleased to have paid OOP in the region of $30 incl tip for two small bowls of chopped fruit, mickey pasta and one dessert

.
Stuffed to the gills, we waddled to the monorail back to MK, and bussed back to OKW.
We absolutely LOVED Narcoossees and would not hesitate to return!
