So, we were waiting for the ME... and Waiting... Seriously Did we miss it?
10 minutes had gone by.
(can you tell I was bored?)
Seriously Bus?
I couldn't believe the karma. We were actually on time and the bus wasn't! Not that I'm complaining that the bus was late - because I hate getting to the airport so early, but seriously, the one time we get there with time to spare the bus is late - the other two time were minutes late and the bus was gone.
Okay, I’m going to chance it. I’m going to run into the store and get my almonds…
Surefire way to make the bus appear right?
I popped back in the store to get some juice and munchies for the bus ride back. I came back and still waited. The bus finally showed - 25 minutes late. Yeesh! Not that I’m complaining because I hate how early the ME gets you to the airport anyway, but it’s just the principal of the matter!
We got off at the airport, still with way too much time on our hands. So we stopped in a few of the stores.
They have my mom's cotton candy there too - good to know.
We stopped to prepare for the security line – de-belt, and pack up.
We ended up in the craziest security line. It was just the big jumble of people all pushing and shoving. I ended up 20 people back from DH. Yikes.
Finally, we made it through and made it to our gate. I've got to say, the Southwest terminal is much nicer at MCO than the Airtran one.
I had paid the $10 each for early check in on Southwest, since we were coming from Disney and it was our first time ever on Southwest. We were in group A positions 34 and 35. Not bad. We got 2 seats together near the front of the plane no problem.
We had a hilarious flight attendant. She started off her spiel about in case of an emergency landing, and said "if your life vest does not inflate, well it's just not your lucky day" haha. There were a few other funny comments like that. Like "if you're traveling with small children - we're sorry" and "put on your own mask - then help your husband" it seems like Southwest encourages that wry sense of humor in their flight attendants. I like it!
The flight was uneventful, and when we landed she did the think about "wait until the plane has come to a complete stop and the captain has turned off the seat belt sign." Then she came on and said "wait, wait, not yet, wait for it… okay get out" and she flipped off the seat belt sign.
We made it into Milwaukee at about 6:30, and were home by 8.
I'm really starting to love these weekend trips, and I'm kind of worried about what we're going to do for 10 days
Okay, we'll that's it for this trip, but I'll be back to this TR with some final thoughts, and back with a spankin' new TR in a few weeks.
