I'm going to need a biopsy!

A while back, I was having some stomach issues, and my doctor had sent me for a CT, in which they had found some enlarged lymph nodes. He thought it might have been lymphadenitis, but sent me back for another one a few months later. Surprise surprise! They're not only still there, but larger now too. So he is sending me to a surgeon to get a biopsy. And since it's in my abdomen, it's probably going to have to be done laproscopically, which means having to miss a few days of my clinical rotations which start Aug 3. I have an appointment in a couple weeks with the surgeon, so I'll just go from there, but this is so not a good time for all this to be happening.

Can you have the surgeon put you on their cancellation list, in case an earlier appointment becomes available? The sooner the better for peace of mind.

I'm sorry that you are going through this. I hope the biopsy comes back good and also that you'll be back to your rotations quickly.

I recieved a packet in the mail with about 20 pages of forms to fill out for the surgeon. So much detailed information that they want to know. I'm going to have to set aside some time just to fill all these forms out.
