One of my closest friends is due to give birth at the end of November and she has asked me to be there with her.:banana::banana: What an honour it would be to be present at the birth of a child. I am sooooo excited. She has waited a long time for this baby and has been through a lot. Her DH has a serious hospital/procedure/blood phobia and they both doubt that he will cope with the labour room. They are both happy for me to be there. It will be nice to be at a birth where I am not the one screaming.:lmao:

Wow Joolz that is such an honour :woohoo:! You are going to be so excited when her due date approaches. You might want to invest in a pair of boxing gloves so she won't cut your circulation off when she squeezes your hand!

That is lovely that she has asked you - what an honour! Not sure I could do it though, it's bad enough being there when you have to :rotfl:

Lovely that she asked you :thumbsup2
Like Joh i could'nt do it .

very exciting :goodvibes

I've already checked out her fingernails and thought 'those will need trimming'.:rotfl:

There is always the chance that her DH will cope better than they think, in which case I will bow out gracefully. Having said that, he had to leave the room and sit down once when she had a blood test.
