Yes, a proper black tie ball. I've never been to anything like that before!!
This is all totally last minute, we weren't bothering to go (tickets are $60 per person ish) but DH has been majorly bullied by all the women in his office about not taking his new wife and he caved yesterday. It's a ball organised by the hospitals' trust for the county, all the proceeds are going to the air ambulance so most of his office is going. Of course that meant I suddenly needed an outfit for a ball in less than 72 hours!!
Can you say stress?
Luckily I've managed to persuade my only evening dress that it can fit a bra under it. I wore it in Vegas last year with no bra and ended up in screaming agony as the entire weight of my chest - which is rather large shall we say - was pulling on the halter neck bit and focused on the hook and eye on the back of my neck. OW! DH is now in a mad race to try and find a tux, hoping he can borrow his colleague's spare one.
I'll hopefully put a picture up this weekend!
