I'm getting nervous about these high airfares!!!

Okay, now I am really freaking out. I want to book but I do not want to go from a non-stop to a long layover. How will I know??? Should I call delta and see what the deal is? THANKS

Oil is $68 a barrel. Super-cheap plane fares are mostly a thing of the past.
Well, I just booked SW non stop from Providence RI to MCO for $135.60 RT. Those rates were available from Manchester too. I tried Logan but Jet Blue and Delta were too expensive.

I haven't looked for tickets for August since SW schedule isn't out that far yet.

I noticed that airfare has been fluctuating alot lately. I found a flight out of Dayton nonstop to MCO for $222 on Thursday night. When I went to reserve it Friday, it went way up. Luckily I found it even cheaper on Sidestep and booked Airtran for $217 each nonstop. Keep looking..I am glad I did!

I wasn't trying to say that fares are going to double overnight and stay there. But $30 per barrel of oil is gone, probably permanently. The general pressure on airline fares over the long term is going to be upward rather than downward.

I just got off the phone with delta song. I asked that if I book a flight now flying song, what will happen when there is no song in august. This is what I was told.
Delta is song. I will be flying on a delta plane. There are no other delta flights going from lga or jfk down to orlando. If you book a non-stop flight you will be flying on a non-stop flight. They do not think the times will change. If they do, it is not by much. The woman seemed pretty clear to me that, the time that I book is the time that I will fly.
Hope this helps.

That's at least what some of the news analyst are predicting if we don't get this "disagreement" with Iran worked out. So just a heads if you see stuff going up thats the explanation they are giving.
