Hi everyone.

This past Saturday I got engaged, and my fiance and I have already begun planning our Walt Disney World wedding. We have been considering a Disney Wedding since we met, but now it is actually going to happen (well hopefully!) I'm already very overwhelmed about price and planning (especially living in Massachusetts)...does anyone have any tips???

THANKS!

:welcome: to the DIS and congratulations on your engagement!

You might be surprised to learn that having a Disney wedding can be very reasonable. The average cost of a wedding is about $25,000 (and in some areas, like NY and CA, it can be significantly more). Depending on what you plan, you can have a very nice wedding at Disney for that price!

Many of the brides here have been able to keep close to their budgets and I'm sure they will have lots of tips for you.

Check out Mouse Weddings and Magical Kingdoms in addition to Disney's Fairy Tale Wedding site. There are lots of ideas and options!

Good luck with your planning!

Congratulations!! Like pp said it is quite resonable if you look at the information on the costs of the wedding.. of course the budget is all what you make it!! If you choose a weekday thats not a holiday it can be cheaper and depending on the season as well!! Fun dates like 9-9-9 and stuff are more as well as holidays! What date are you looking at? We are doing a wednesday just based on the date we choose and it is the cheapest minimum for wishes!! I look forward to hearing your plans!!

Ahh a fellow Massachusettsian... excellent. :) Ignore the fact I'm currently living in Northern Maine. I lived in MA for the first 25 years of my life. I'm only 27 now (feeling homesick - sniffle).. :guilty:
:welcome:
Anyodd - welcome to the boards! Here's one tip I have for you. Don't fly out of Boston to Orlando. I priced it out the other day and it was 200 dollars more than flying out of Manchester NH. Depending where you are it would probably be just as inexpensive to go out of TF Green in Providence as well.

Congrats on your engagement! We're a very friendly board - you're going to have to post pictures of your ring and everything! popcorn::

I absolutely LOVE your pic! My fiance and I are thinking about doing that. TOM BRADY is my other fiance ;-). I was at the season opener (yes the one he got hurt at :-(!!!)

Recently we have flown out of TF Green instead of Logan.....it is quieter and nicer!

Thanks for the advice!

Oh it must have been horrible seeing your fiance hobble off the field like that. ;) lol... honestly few things have hurt as much as seeing Tom go down. Cassel did ok, but if it wasn't for defense... well... he's not Brady lets just say that. He did do better than Favre. :)

I went out of TF Green and it was so much better than Logan. I'm sure I'll think of more Massachusettsian wedding tips as time passes. It's just nice to have another Pats fan on the board - I think we outnumber the Giants fans :thumbsup2
