I think I figured out how to feel good!I just have to eat all the time!!!(for those of you who don't know I'm pregnant!)I can't let myself get really hungry because if I do that's when I feel sick and I also will eat more which really makes me sick.So I just have small meals all day long.I couldn't even think about food a few days ago without turning green but I think I found my solution. So this pregnancy is MUCH different then the last.Couldn't keep a sip of water down last time.I'm still VERY tired but I know that will pass.I can't believe how big I am already though-yesterday was 8 week mark.I'm as big now as I was with DS at 6 months!I haven't really gained any weight though because I initially lost about 4/5 lbs.I've put about 4 back on.
So things are looking good.I have my 1st ultrasound on Monday-maybe I'm having twins!LOL I'm hungry enough to be having triplets!!!

When I was pregnant with my third, in the beginning, I was just STARVING all the time. I couldn't get enough food in me.

Glad to hear it's not just me!I even had to get up at 4a.m. to get something to eat because my stomach was growling so much!LOL Then at 7:30 I had to get out of bed and get a bowl of cereal! This is the day I can REALLY sleep in because only 1 little boy comes over and not until 10:00-but NOOOOOOOO I had to go eat!!!!

I remember I was about 7 or 8 weeks along, my SIL had a party and I spent the entire party in front of the food table. I just always felt like I wasn't getting enough food. I will tell you that it eventually wore off, and I ended up gaining the least amount of weight with that pregnancy. I just gained more in the beginning than I did the first 2.

Baby will be a different sex then.

Could be, my third was a girl, the first 2 were boys. The first 2 pregnancies were VERY similar.

I'm glad you're feeling better.:)

With my dd, I stayed hungry. With my ds, he didn't like for me to eat. I had to eat small meals all the time. I couldn't even eat 1/2 a taco without him putting pressure on me everywhere. It's funny-now my dd eats very little, and my ds eats me out of house and home.:teeth: I guess she got her fill while I was carrying her, and my ds decided he liked food afterall.:teeth:

Going along w/ previous posts, I know it's just an old wives tale but, I had 3 boys first and was never really sick. The 4th was our girl and I felt nauseous for the whole pregnancy. I was hungry and ate a lot, just had an ever-present quesy feeling.
Here's some things that helped me:
~Lemon drops! I craved citrus and noticed that lemon drops eased the nausea. Later, I read in a prego magazine that lemon has been found to do this. Who knew?
~Motion sickness wrist bands. They put pressure on a part of your wrist that is said to block the feeling of nausea.
~Laying down w/ a cool cloth over my forehead (she was born at the end of Aug. so I was preg. through the summer).
~Not over-eating and avoiding greasy foods.
~I didn't know this during my pregnancy, but read about it later: Ginger has been found to ease nausea. Now I mix 1/8 teaspoon (the dose recommended by the article) of ground ginger w/ a little sugar and give it to my kids for their "belly aches". It takes about 20 mins to work. The article said that this is safe for preg. women.

I said to my DH yesterday that as convinced as I am that will only have boys MAYBE this is a girl!I feel completely different this time. With DS I ate because I HAD to or I was going to be admitted to the hospital.Although a few days ago food was not a good topic for me I seem to now want EVERYTHING!I had my DH go to the grocery store and buy a ham because that's what I needed! He came home with an 11 pounder!!!LOLThat's bigger than the one I had for x-mas.Had to stop the other night for black rasberry ice cream-I never eat sweets!Toast is my savior. My DH made me some the other day and it was the best toast I have ever had!!LOL Overeating and greasy food definately are not my friends!!!!I won't get into to details but let's just say that McDonald's and pizza are not on my "want" list right now!!!
Did you get bigger much quicker the 2nd time around?I really need to have DH take a picture of me so you can all see what I mean about my belly.I actually wore maternity pants the other day-they were BIG but they didn't fall off either!!!

I DEFINATELY got bigger faster w/ each pregnancy! It seems that everything is stretched out already and just gives way easier. A tip I got from a co-worker 14 yrs ago, when I was just starting to show w/ my 1st: Put on your regualr pants and loop a rubberband through the buttonhole then secure that to your button. You may not be able to zip the pants all the way but a big shirt or sweater can cover that. This helped when maternity pants where still too big and would slide down. Also works w/ skirts that fasten w/ a button.

My 2nd pregnancy was totally different than my first so I was convinced it was going to be a girl(first was a boy). Nope, it was another boy! Also, according to that ancient Chinese chart thing, both of mine were supposed to be girls. Needless to say I dont buy into any of those old wives tales. :)
Glad you are feeling better though...and keep eating. ;)

I'm like Camcolt, my two pregnancies were totally different in how I felt and how I carried; morning sickness with one, not the other; carried low first time and high the second, but they were both girls. So they each just showed their different personalities in the womb!

I was sick as a dog for 20 weeks with both, gained a total of 19 lbs(lost a lot the first 18 weeks), but looked more pregnant the second time. I had a boy, then a girl.

Glad to hear you are feeling better and it looks like you've figured out the secret. In addition to eating often, eat lots of protein. A big cause of morning sickness is the sugar levels getting low and eating protein helps that. I had never heard that before until my nurse told me during my last pregnancy and it worked! Instead of having a cracker, I would have a handful of nuts or a spoonful of peanut butter and it worked! I didn't get nearly as sick this time around as I did with Moira BUT this one is also a boy so who knows. :p

One thing I do know is I will be thrilled with either a boy or a girl!Of course I already have a DS so part of me would like a girl but on the other hand I LOVE having a little boy! There's just a special bond between us.I think that the mother/son bond is something special just like the father/daughter bond!
It's fun guessing though and to think I have 7 more months of it!yay!!!

LOL! Just keep eating. :teeth:

I think it was fate last night that my toilet overflowed everywhere because my scale got wet and doesn't work anymore!LOL
Kim

So glad that you are feeling better, sweetie.
