i'm falling apart...lol

So ok im your typical male, never went to dr etc unless its because I hurt something playing sports etc...


well after many many years I finally broke down and went and was diasgnosed with a hypothyroidsomethingornuther well im now on levthyroxin, well 1 week later i woke up my thumb hurts over weekend couldnt even open a turn or grip anything went back to dr yesterday (2 times in 2 weeks when it was 15 years or so prior to that hahahaha) and i have tendonitis and may need cortizone shots possibly surgery. geez im falling apart all of a sudden AFTER going to dr....see i was perfectly fine before that hahahahaha.


so that is allplease go about your day, unless you want to tell me about hypothuroidism or levthyroxin or tendonitis

My DH tells me that he was healthy until he met me and I made him go to the doctor. It doesn't matter that I met him 16 years ago. Apparently aging has nothing to do with it. It's all my fault.

In my case it's called old-age. What's even worse is when you finally break down and go to the doctors and they just pat you on the head and say nothing's wrong, you are going to live to be 100.

I ache all over and feel miserable and this is going to last until I am 100???

Like foolishmortal (and most guys) I avoided the dr. like the plague for years.
Three years ago I was diagnosed as diabetic so now I go to the doc every 11 weeks, the eye doc every 4 months, and the dentist twice a year. My doc has suggested a couple of other specialists but I'm thinking my doc dance card is FULL.

exactly!!! he is right. i met my wife 15 years ago and prior to that it was just sports pysicals etc... and after years and years of telling her im fine never going never sick etc... I go for her finally and now im living at drs and pharmacy...see it is yours and my wifes fault!

yeah I basically went for the bloodwork and to ease her (and my moms) minds, and cholesteral and blood pressure etc are fine it was thyroid not working correctly.
