I am SO excited! After pricing things out and realizing that 4 nights on the Disney cruise may just be too short, we've decided to change to the 7 night cruise!! We are also changing from July to August because DH's work schedule won't dictate that he has to take off the week of July 4th next year!!! This change means less $$ for the price of the cruise (August prices compared to July 4th week prices), which is one reason why we can do the 7 night cruise.

Anyway, just wanted to share this with people who would understand my excitement :P DSs still don't know anything about the cruise!!

Now I need to start researching the 7 night Western Caribbean cruise info!! I know there are more things to do on the 7 night cruises than what they offer on the 4 nights. What are some of your favorite things to do on the 7 night cruise???

P.S. Thanks to PizzieDuster and her lengthy review of the 4 night cruise, that really made DH and I decide that we NEED to do the 7 night instead!! :P Thanks for your wonderful, detailed review, Pizzie!!

Wonderful SeaSpray! You will love the 7 night. We have not done the Western yet (70 days to go!) but you have a year to research and plan! We booked our 1 year ago and it's almost here! The year will pass quickly!

We loved the 7 day Western we did this past May. Enjoy all your planning and enjoy the cruise. 7 days are fantastic!

Glad that it is going to work out for you to take the 7 day!!!

I'm glad you decided to go for the 7 day. Brunch and dinner at Palo were fabulous on our Sept western.

Great! The 4 day is really just to short, I would never take that one again, it seemed to be over just as it was starting!

Good for you! We have been going back and forth on this same thing ourselves! Just wondering if you are still going to add on nights at WDW? We are trying to figure out a way to do this (without getting a second mortgage on our house:eek: )

Have a great time!

Good for you.
We are planning in taking our 1st seven night in Feb. I to am so excited.

Thanks everyone! :teeth:

goofyfordisney: No, I think we'd just do the 7 night cruise. We were going to do some days at WDW if we did the 4 night cruise.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned the DCL Passporter that Jennifer Watson has put out--it is very thorough about all the itineraries--look at passporter.com
Also on Deb Wills' wdwig.com site, there is a cruise guide by Mickey Morgan that is very detailed. I printed that out (at work), punched holes in the sides and put it in a binder to reference.

Sea Spray...For the price of our cruise. It is a better deal to do the seven night and I agree even though I've never sailed 4 nights unless its just an added bonus to a vacation, go 7 nights.

See you on board
Joanna

I agree - 7 nights is the way to go!
I cruised 4nights on NCL 12/01

11/8 will be the first cruise ever for DH & DS11 - and it will be to the Western Caribbean! Cant wait to see their faces as we pull up to port!
