I'm Engaged! (longish)

Ahhhh yes, maybe they just put the disco ball on a silver band (purchased with the competition winnings) and called it 3 carat diamond ring!

:rotfl:

When my son was in kindergarten (he is now a Senior in HS), he made his teacher an engagement ring!:rotfl: He took an empty duct tape roll and taped (that's probably how the roll got empty!) a plastic film canister to it and put 7¢ and 2 coupons inside the film canister!:lmao:

His teacher was in her mid 20s, single (although she had a steady boyfriend) and very cute! The teacher made a fuss over the ring and Dan's talent, but alas turned his marriage proposal down because of the age difference. Obviously this was before the Mary Kay whats-her-name situation with her student.:scared1:

But his teacher did take the ring home and tell her boyfriend that he had some serious competition! (My son thought he had the upper hand since he also included 7¢ and 2 coupons! )

It worked for the teacher because she got engaged a couple of months later, married 2 years after that and had a baby a couple of years after that!:thumbsup2

Never one to be down for long, my son began pursuing the older teacher's aide, who of course was married.:sad2:

You're right. Someone did win a contest and it was a roomer that the poster was having twins either boys or girls but no one knows and the doxens were actually illegitimate babies from the roomers of dachshunds!

But then again...who knows? :confused3 :happytv:

I just hope that the BF didn't use one of those CC convenience checks to buy the ring. It is the American Way, you know!:thumbsup2

Oh wait, wrong multiple personality. Sorry.:guilty:

Congrats by the way. My recent experience along these lines probably wasn't quite as romantic as this. I woke up with a shotgun barrel in my mouth, my darling DW on the other end. She cocks back the chamber placing double ought buckshot into the chamber and proclaims, if you don't sign this, let me move in and marry me this weekend I'm pulling the trigger. I thought about it for a few minutes then decided to sign on the dotted line. The romantic part about it was she painted roses on the gun barrel. She is so sweet!!

:scared1:

Is anyone else having this problem? (I can't seem to get an answer anywhere I ask.)

When I click "all posts by user" for ME, I get "no results". That's wrong.
When I click "all posts by user" on the OP, I get "no results". That's wrong.

But, when I click "all posts by user" for anyone else, I get threads you've started.

This started happening last night by the way...and his still happening. Its because of that, that I bought the OP's story. :confused3

I don't know SM. It just adds to the mystique.

As singlemomw/3 has special characters in their username, they must first access their profile and update their name before you will be able to view it
