I'm dying for some tonga toast, what could you use right now?

I may be alone on this one, but I really like the Honey Sesame Chicken from Nine Dragons. We try and visit there every trip to WDW and even found a recipe on the web. We were a little reluctant to try it (based on one of the ingredients), but it was amazing how similar and good the sauce tasted. :thumbsup2

Whoever came up with this idea....I love you!!! This is the best thread...or am I just hungry...anyway...

I would love to have the Bread Pudding/Banana's Foster from O'Hana, a few Zebra Domes and some Butternut Squash soup from Boma AND a huge Ice Cream Sandwich with the two warm chocolate chip cookies from Main Street Bakery.....:faint:

I'd love to have a "build your own" pretzel rod from Goofy's Candy Company and wash it down with a Grey Goose slushie from France!

I could really go for a Cobb salad from the Brown Derby right now! :)

It's really not hard to make. Romaine lettuce, tomato, blue cheese crumbles, bacon, turkey, avocado. Just remember to put each ingredient (except the blue cheese crumbles) in the food processor seperately to cut them up pretty small like at the restaurant. Put the shredded lettuce (from the food processor) in your bowl first, then make "pie slices" of each ingredient on top (like the restaurant), when you're ready to serve put the dressing on and mix it all up. Sometimes I buy the already cooked turkey pieces and then just shred those to save time. There is also a recipe for the french dressing, but I take a short cut and buy red Russian dressing instead.

Have fun making it! I think I will make some tomorrow! :goodvibes

I'm glad you enjoyed it! It's making me hungry too and I can't believe all the things I've never tried. That French toast loaf sounds so good.

I could also go for some Zeba Domes. Yum! ;)

My random WDW cravings usually consist of food from the Poly:

Dole Whip, pineapple coconut bread, and those mickey-shaped coconut patties you can buy from the gift shop.

Also, the chocolate covered pretzels from Bayveiw Gifts at the CR.

I am so craving a creme cheese pretzel. I have no idea where in WDW world you can get one, but I had two during my visit to Disneyland. It is Nancy's fault for introducing them to me. :lmao:

you can get the cream cheese pretzels at the lunching pad in tomorrowland, AND at the stand next to dumbo in fantasyland.

For anyone interested...thats also near one of the rare churro carts in WDW. Now can anyone tell me where to find these amazing pretzels in DL. Ive never had one there but i will hunt it down next time i go.

Right now I'd love to have a Churro or a dole whip float - my MUST have snacks during a trip.

Also, the pineapple coconut bread we had for breakfast at O'Hana - sooooo good!!!

Beignets from French Quarter... I'm sure they are not as good as those from Cafe du Monde, but I'll take 'em!!

Mickey waffles, tonga toast, shaved ice from the Japan pavilion...

And of course, DOLE WHIPS!!! :)

And... Just WDW in general.

A big-as-your-head Turkey Leg from Fronteir Land that tastes like ham not Turkey.

Great thread!

I tried a pretzel with sweet cream cheese at MK in Dec. Delish! I saw that Schwann's sells cream cheese filled pretzel. I'm thinking of adding that to my order.

I'm craving the Asian Chicken Salad at Pop. Crazy, I know. I had it twice in Dec. I just adore that salad and crave it alot.

I also love the macadamia nut pancakes with pineapple topping from Kona ::yes::

Zebra Domes, Bobotie, good tabouli,....

I would love a piece of the tie dye cheesecake from POP. mmmmm And I would eat it with my own coffee, not Disney's. hahahahaha

Yum- A No Way Jose with 1/2 chocolate and 1/2 mint chocolate chip ice cream for me!

Gretta

Mmmm, I could really go for some of those warm nuts...yummm! :cloud9:

As much as it pains me, I'll refrain from any discussion of warm nuts and Paul. :surfweb:

But I did notice that in Epcot the nut cart was gone last week. There used to be one just as you came into World Showcase from Future World on the right. But nothing there now.

Pumpkin cheesecake with pumpkin seed brittle from the Brown Derby... oh that sounds good right now.

I had no idea there was even a nut cart, but I am not really a nut person.

I could really go for some yummy tonga toast right now. SO GOOD! I tried making it once and it didn't quite turn out the same. I think my oil wasn't hot enough and the bread soaked up a lot of the oil.

What could you go for from WDW right now?!

AND what has been your most successful replica of a WDW food?! My Brown Derby Cobb salad is delicious! :goodvibes

I have a picture of the tonga toast on my cell phone and look at it each day and really could go for that now! mmmmm
